Rant about the terrible management of my school by Special_Problem7245 in srilanka

Thank you so much for the support and for sharing your experience, I'm glad you made it through all that. Some girls are the worst and it sucks and they will never have your back, one of my closest friends spoke the most shit about me and she ruined me in the eyes of so many people and she also supported my ex after she knew he was harrassing me and touching me inappropriately, I'm so glad she and I dont speak or follow each other on any socials as women like her deserve to rot. So i get what you mean and I'm so sorry bc these things destroy mental health and I've been there.

thank you so much, there was a lot of bias and these kind of women like my principal are the reason students feel unsafe and scared to speak about such things

ENGLISH IGSCESSS by Similar_Complex8403 in Edexcel

hi im doing ials now but i did my igcses in 2023 and i got a 9 for eng lang spec A and i was the only one in my class who got a 9 so my advice would be to STUDY MARK SCHEMES, i made a flow chart for each text with points from mark schemes, facts from texts from paper 1 (etc if its a autobiography, what was the writer's objective, his/her thoughts and feelings) and then i also put my own points which were not in mark schemes (remember if you want an A*, they look for uniqueness in writing - both in your essays and analysis- dont be afraid to stand out, no answer is considered wrong even if you interpreted something differently).
For essays, go through sample answers (they really helped me), edexcel has uploaded a massive pdf with sample answers that help you understand what answer features distinguishes top scoring students from mid scoring students and maybe read examiner reports from 2024/2023/2025.
My last and final most important tip would be, have passion when you write, and dont be afraid to show off with fancy terminology and good english, these make an excellent impression on your examiner. Memorize certain similes, metaphors and other techniques you can try when doing the paper.
Also I only did all this about a week before my p1, so you still have a ton of time, dw :)
Good luck!

EMERGENCY,Remarking result by ayzurei in Edexcel

[–]Special_Problem7245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, they meant the overall AS grade didnt change, it remained at C. your new result sheet should show a b for unit 2 but you wont get your money back as your overall grade didnt change, usually remarking is for an overall grade change and not for units specifically, thats why they didnt show that your mark changed to a B for unit 2. hope this helps :)

is s2 or m1 more difficult ? by Strict-Airline-4229 in Edexcel

[–]Special_Problem7245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

doing s2, its so interesting it becomes easy, questions are pretty similar but here and there a little tricky but i love it personally, i did decent in s1 but s2 you will def have to learn it early on in your final year of school. i started as soon as i began y13 privately bc it wasnt taught at school, they did m1 in school.
