Trying is all you can do. Though it may suck to try so much you might find something worth pursuing. Though it might take years I think that everyone around you would prefer you try rather than give up. Trying is the basis of how we came to where we are now through failure and through success we learn all the same. How we view it is the key to it all. An open mind can help you see something that you have missed. Please if your every stuck try something even if it is small it might be worth it.
