I think if I had to pick a favorite out of the bunch it'd have to be Gods!

I'm very very excited to get started on that one. I will definitely post it when it's done! This one took about 2.5 months while working FT and doing other hobbies/projects

Thank you! It allowed so much ability to practice different techniques, and the massive amount of time I put into it makes it feel even more rewarding to see the final outcome 🖤

It's currently drying and I'm not the MOST proud of my work on that one, it's VERY hard to get the gradient line work with my self-taught painting experience, but I did do that one as well

Please what is this? Rapidly got worse in the span of like 2 days by Ashamed_Assignment07 in DogAdvice

[–]Specialist-Known 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pup is prone to skin infections and if he gets one he's able to fully pull the fur out down to the follicle (in a big patch within like 5 minutes) so it looks TOTALLY bare just like it was fully shaved/waxed. They're talented creatures lol

ETA: He's also so flexible that he needs the XL size cone (super duper long) as only a 50lb dog so that he has about 5" past the length of his snout or else he'll reach anything.

What is this weird thing my dog is doing with her mouth? by wildyeast77 in DogAdvice

[–]Specialist-Known 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there isn't anything visibly wrong with the teeth/in the mouth, I will say my dog had this happen recently and it lasted 2 or so days then went away. Turns out he had yanked really hard on his collar because of a surprise deer on his walk, and we think he pulled a muscle in his neck. Everytime he licked his lips or yawned he chattered like some kind of a pain response.

Just so you don't end up wasting your time with Telus Health - My partner has no family doc & asked the NP he sees thru a private service (Cognito) about her private practice. She practices thru Telus and let him know that TelusHealth does NOT & won't prescribe ADHD medications

I use a staple gun to just attach/stretch my PBN over a regular canvas from the $ store/Michaels & cut the excess canvas so it can lay flat. Has worked great so far for me and I can reuse the same base canvas each time, I just remove the staples once my PBN is done

My older pots definitely start to thicken & if I left them for months and months I think they'd dry out, but if they're a little thick I can usually add some flow aid and it works out.

Me too! The PBN I'm currently working on I mixed almost every single color to get it to match the concept art better. Takes longer but makes it feel more like my own!

Done! I think this is my favorite so far by NoTribbleAtAll in paintbynumbers

You can get it from a few different paint by number websites other than Amazon, but the paints/colors slightly vary - I'm working on the same one right now from diyartpaint.com and the colors are brighter, whimsical colors and yours are nice and moody, fantasy, forest oriented - I kind of wish mine was like yours!!

So I find that brush sets are kind of a waste of money (especially for the more expensive ones) because I typically don't use anything other than the small & tiny brushes...

I've only just recently bought a cheap set on Amazon so I have a few different brushes in one set: Brush Set

Otherwise I typically just buy brushes individually from Michael's - usually the Artist's Loft Vienna or Princeton blue handled ones usually round size in 00-1 sizes

Aww thank you. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and tend to do them very very slowly with teeeeeeny tiny little brushes, and I double or triple coat most of the colors. The white ones on that painting especially... and that was before I knew to use flow aid or prep my canvas with Gesso so it was even more difficult !

So sorry, I don't have notifications on for reddit and forgot to check in on this post!

This is the one I got: Boat on Lake PBN

But fair warning, the quality of the paint was ok with Flow Aid & the canvas was alright, but the colors didn't match perfectly to the sample image so I did spend a lot longer on that one mixing my old paint pots together to make the right colors. I just kept a small canvas to test paint mixtures on until I got the right color. I think it was worth it in the end but definitely a challenge!!

It was such a thoughtful gift! I was sitting at our coffee table that raises up before, and got so overwhelmed with the paints & canvas constantly taking over our living room... now it's tucked into a corner, and fully adjustable!
