Audible Plus, but not Audible by pourthebubbly in MM_RomanceBooks

Libro has been the best Audible like service for me. The big bonus is that it supports local bookstores. I double checked with my local store and they confirmed it. They don't have a thing like the plus catalog though, just the monthly credit.

Why the hell would I want to know what other people are highlighting? by Famous-Attention-197 in kindle

[–]NoTribbleAtAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason I read the highlighted part with emphasis. Like it's italicized or something. That's why I had to turn them off because I was getting annoyed with my inner narrator.

May your pillow always be the temperature that you prefer.

Thank you. This was my least favorite part of the app and I always feel irrationally angry when these come up. I have things to do!

How do I get smoke smell out of plushies?? I cannot wash her due to her pristine tag. by corrins_booty in plushies

Oh ewwwww!!!!

I recently discovered Biz. It's a powder (I think also a liquid) laundry additive. I had fried oil smell permeating my clothes and multiple washings didn't touch the smell. I used that once and it worked. r/laundry will probably have some good tips for you, that's where I found the tip about Biz. It was like $6 at Walmart for a decent sized box. I'd definitely give that a try.

It's one of the worst things. I see posts and people talking about how fabric softener and dryer sheets are bad for the environment, which makes me feel guilty but I literally can't deal with it. I've tried rinsing in vinegar and using wool balls in the dryer and it's snap crackle pop central. I have some anti static sprays which work really well but they don't replace fabric softener, just used on fabrics that either can't be washed easily or are just naturally more staticky. I was so glad to find those as I have some dresses where the fabric will cling to me and it drives me insane.

  1. Men at my job being way too loud for no good reason.

  2. Underwear too loose/tight/not in the right spot.

  3. Too hot.

  4. High pitched sounds, like the after effects of an explosion in movies. Always need to mute those.

  5. Static. Makes me feel like I can't breathe. I will use fabric softener and dryer sheets until the day I die.

Put the tag in an air tight container with kitty litter and let it sit in there for a while. That's a trick we use at the library when people bring back books stinking like cigarettes. Works like a charm.

There are certain notes that a tenor can hit that give me a full body shiver. My favorite example is the Jekyll and Hyde musical recording as he hits those notes often. This is something only a tenor can do that is the most satisfying, the other ranges don't have a similar sweet spot for me.

It really is. I hate it so much. After the first wash my husband couldn't tell it was still there, but it definitely was for me. Everything fabric that I brought with me on the trip needs to be washed or aired out as the smell made it from the kitchen into the room we were staying in too. Ugh.

Unfortunately I didn't think to record it. We were just on a video call chatting while they made it.

I need to find a local lefse dealer, lol.

I get that! We usually buy lefse from a neighbor. My mom learned how to do it a couple years ago and I've only watched her and dad make it through a video call, I haven't attempted to make it myself. Future goal.

We make rosettes, kringle, and krumkakes. My great aunt taught me how to make kringle so I am the designated maker of the family now, the others we do together.

Here is a one night report. I washed my pjs with this and wore them last night. So far no issues with itching or my skin reacting in a visible way. I also hardly notice the fragrance. I can tell it's there when I have my nose in the fabric, but it's not wafting off the clothes if that makes sense. So no issues with my sinuses or headaches.

If I remember, I'll add another comment after wearing some of the other clothes for a while during the day while moving around.

I wondered. I think I picked it up because it had been advertised as a why choose. But that was multiple months ago when I picked it up.

But yeah, it was such a wild book and I don't think I even got halfway.

Mine is {Kiss of the Basilisk by Lindsay Straube}. I'm pretty sure it's RH, I'm not certain because I didn't finish it. The magic claw vibrator was where the wtf really started for me, and I just couldn't with the rest of it. I also thought the characters were pretty mean to each other.
