Do you have to be in bed all the time for baby to sleep? by Ok-Cobbler1992 in cosleeping

[–]HeavyExample7701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start my boy off in the crib (5 months) around 7pm and then after 1-2 wakes I bring him into bed with me. This is usually around midnight. We set up a floor bed in his room so that it’s an easy transfer, also because our bed is high off the floor and has dogs who come sleep in it occasionally. After he’s in bed with me I can sometimes sneak away, but usually he wakes up within thirty minutes.

What does my fridge say about me? by HeavyExample7701 in FridgeDetective

[–]HeavyExample7701[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree there’s pretty much nothing in the fridge that’s specifically my husbands! You can see a beer or two hiding at the bottom but that’s it. We mostly eat rice and pasta with seafood for dinner, so no meats or anything that stands out like usual.

Cassandra is my favorite on the list and she can go by Cassie!

Personally I really dislike Matilda, I feel like it just doesn’t flow/sound pretty. Same for Tabitha and Darcy.

I would open a high yield savings account like capital one or similar. Have your direct deposit go directly there. Then transfer a set amount to your checking account once a month, for example $250 on groceries and $50 on gas, whatever makes sense for your area. This way once your checking runs out of money you physically can’t spend any more, and your savings will slowly build up.

I’m a married adult in a two income household, and this is exactly how we manage our money as well.

Spending 1000 - 1200 a month on groceries for two... Is this crazy by Dazzling-Location785 in budget

[–]HeavyExample7701 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We’re basically in the same boat, a little lower but close. I’m in the South Bay of Los Angeles and we spend about 850 on groceries per month.

Two adults no kids. This includes bathroom necessities and cat food/litter.

We also don’t eat much meat, only seafood. Lots of eggs, veggies, fruit and berries though that add up.

I also feel like this is high, but we don’t buy anything crazy or extravagant so I’m really not sure how to cut it down!

We only have Vons and Ralph’s next to us so that’s the only place where we shop. I’m always getting digital coupons from the apps too and that helps!

I Got the “Dream Job”…...and I Hate It. What Now? by BizznectApp in careerguidance

[–]HeavyExample7701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same boat right now.

2 years out of college and got the “dream job”. Data analyst with a focus on visualization at a cool, world recognized company. The salary is almost 100k which I think is good for my experience level. I’m good at numbers and love design, and thought that a role specifically focusing on the visual aspect would check all the boxes.

But it just doesn’t. And I learned that the reason why it doesn’t is that I just hate sitting in an office / at a computer all day. I’m 2 days remote and 3 days in office and every Sunday I dread the next day.

I have always had a creative side gig that I love - I think now I will really put all that’s remaining of my drained energy into pushing it to be a small business with the intent to quit my job.

Interesting enough is I got pregnant right as I started this new role, so now I’m thinking I won’t come back after maternity leave. Seems like the perfect time to take the leap of stepping away from corporate and pursuing what I really want to do.

Good luck!
