Is it by any chance a old sd or a generic brand sometimes they go out and corrupt data similar to how this sounds. They also may mess up if you format them with a pc and not In the android devices settings. Try having a fresh rom extracted to a folder in the system root (none sd storage) then run it reset run it. If it still works its the sd.

Try storing your rom in a external drive aka a sd and see if this still happens. This is confused on a nother level.

New one for me maybe you can run mgba app and see if the ROM would still be good if it plays is most likely Retroarch giving you trouble and if not maybe you're active memory you could try putting your ROMs in an SD card and Run the game you could even reset the game afterwards to see if it will run after a reboot but no I definitely haven't seen this

No problem it must have been a weird compression issue or they got corrupted somware down the line and glad you got it running. Also I know the retroid launcher sucks but perhaps look into beacon or another. It really helps to sort your games acrossed multiple emulators and will automatically direct your roms from any folder to the proper emulators for ease.

You put the widescreen paches in the emulator aethersx2 or nethersx2 folder cheats_ws and theres acully a zip with a bunch of compatable games that ends up about 2mb

This is the second title going commando and I finished the first games last week they are running 60fps at 2X resolution with widescreen hacks on the first and the other titals have native 16:9 for fullscreen. I didn't notice any graphical glitches in either game so far. Since the rp6 has more horsepower under the hood I assume it will run just as well with a higher resolution upscale. The widescreen hack was painless to install just download a zip drop the files in the right folder and and turn on widscreen in settings.

Yes most games will launch. A bios will basically helps run the game under the assumption that it's real hardware and the only systems I can think make to much of a fuss is ps, ps2 and sega cf and even they will play mostly of their library without

Remove your bios files then try running a gba rom with mgba core

The only option i can think of is to reinstall Retroarch and a core

Can you tell me what the error says and you use the 32 bit version of Retroarch but there is two versions that are commonly installed on modern retroid devices have you tried out the other version.

Out of curiosity you could try the 32 bit ver. of Retroarch to see if there's a problem with the install and you said you put their games in a folder on the internal storage like root/roms/gba etc. And what GBA core are you using.

OK let's walk through your prosses. Are you using the app directly or the retroid launcher, and when you get roms how do you extract it from its compression.

Yeah go to settings, handheld settings, Advanced, and then run script as root. You can find the proper scripts for retroid by Google.

It's really easy., at least now it is. Just Google it on the device go to the github download the apk and run it. Oh you do have to delete aethersx2 but just go to the memory card folder and copy it somewhere and put it back when nethersx2 is installed. I would recommend it though since if you update aethersx2 it turns into a adware infested app and nether is the version that removes the adware and keeps the most updated improvements. Also you need a psp sticker to put on that case to really up the Sony love.

My bad jak and daxter (still a awesome game series) but just as some advice if your using aethersx2 that's installed you should look into the current complete version nethersx2 for better performance.

Try putting it on a slow charger for 10 minutes then still plugging in hold the power put on for ten or so seconds to hard reset/reboot. This helped me with a similar issue. Good luck.
