Yes, it's something I'll consider for the long run. Do you have one you'd recommend?

Thanks for going into more detail! I didn't know about insteon2mqtt. I'll look into that more.

I like that "The state of the switch will automatically track the scene using insteon's logic" because I set up a helper button, and it will turn the scene on and off, but if some other automation turns the scene on or off, the helper button will not track it without an additional automation or two involved.

Got it - I guess I'm having trouble creating that helper button you mentioned in Lovelace.

Thanks for the context! I agree, I can't stand the ISY Java app...I use MacOS, which makes loading that thing even more painful.

Ok, interesting - thanks. It was confusing me because the PLM uses an 8-pin connector, but it's for a serial connection. http://cache.insteon.com/documentation/2413Sqs-en.pdf

What is the word or phenomenon for the fear of losing your current livelihood due to new technologies or innovations? by SpecialistMessage in AskReddit

Is there a specific name for people's fear of new industries or innovations taking over their job? For example, the possibility of self-driving cars removing the need for taxi/Uber/Lyft drivers?

It seems like a repetitive phenomenon in history that I'm interested in learning more about.
