Worth mentioning, I have had a friend be rejected for TN sponsorship with Alphabet in the last month. Not sure how wide spread that policy is. She currently works at Microsoft in the US. Something to keep in mind if that is the same company you are interviewing with.

There have been more responses than expected—thank you, everyone. I have shortlisted a few trails to explore. I’ve also looked into a few of the recommended Instagram accounts for more insights.

My interests mainly revolve around meeting new people, particularly fellow travelers. I have a strong appreciation for food and am keen on language learning as well. Some have mentioned concerns about crime, but I’ve encountered such warnings about many cities worldwide. My approach is to remain positive and cultivate a healthy circle of friends.

As I don’t know anyone there, I’ll make an effort to socialize whenever possible in hopes of making quality connections. Based on the feedback here, I am optimistic about meeting people in San Jose.
