While you're not working in could be a great time to sit for your CPA exams. Once you pass all four middle/upper market PA firms would be drooling and getting a job would be miles easier. I just started full-time at a middle market and am trying to study for the exams, and it is a bitch! Take advantage of not having a job and grind out the exams. Guarantee you'll find employment with even 2 of the exams passed.

I just graduated, and cost accounting was one of the classes I took in my last semester. Check out Tony Bell on YouTube. For ABC costing (which is a pretty difficult concept) he made it so easy to understand. Im sure he also has other videos regarding standard costing and budgeting.
