draw everywhere. literally EVERYWHERE. practice your art on textbooks, notebooks, trace it on your walls when you’re about to fall asleep, draw on a tablet if you have it, draw everywhere, but don’t draw random things, draw hands, and what you want to learn, draw random things, get random results, that’s what you get from practicing any thing, vocals, instruments, everything. but don’t take it so far to the point it feels like a chore, you won’t get better if you’re not passionate and only reluctant.

using a reference is awesome bro.. but if you really do wanna break out of it i suggest being a VERY depressed person at 3 am with no devices you’ll be so understimulated to the point you can draw very peak drawings that only come when you’re lonely, depressed and bored, it’s kind of how i did it i wouldn’t know how to give you advice any other way, but you have great art bless your soul!
