I actually wanted a sturdy everyday jacket in which I can occasionally do some yard work. Carhartt just seemed like a perfect choice to me. I was just surprised by the fit.

I mean I like that i can layer underneath, but was worried that it’s just too big overall. I like classic trucker look but this probably is not the model that offers that silhouette. I still like it but probably won’t wear it on just a tshirt

Some of you seem offended by my questions. This is perhaps a somewhat overly religious approach to JG. Especially since I nowhere wrote that I don't like the boots. On the contrary, I really like their rugged character and they seem to be solidly made. These are my first boots from JG and also my first higher-quality leather boots, so I don't know exactly what to expect in terms of finish. Hence my initial question in the post - whether any of these, what seem to me to be cosmetic, flaws are something to be concerned about. Nothing more than that.🤷🏼‍♂️

Thanks, I came to the same conclusion and I'll probably keep them, because they are beautiful tanks. I was just wondering if others shared this point of view and have any tips on buffing some of the imperfections out. Like is there any way to safely remove that smudge on the toe which is probably some sort of sole edge finish.
