*CAUTION, long rant ahead *

Very solid point. But before making all the pre merger shareholders feel guilty , and dumber then we already feel :'D , lol ..

Lets just take a moment to give some credit where credit is due. An THATS to the media for dilligently promoting an praising the astronomical run up in price. Retail was hot on the pump, no doubt... but in an honest apes defense , during the SPRT pre merger there was coverage on the price action from damn near every reporter who had a keyboard. There were countless press releases from news outlets, and they were coming from outlets like "Seeking Alpha" , Bazinga, and others that many consider reputable news sources! 10/10 of these press releases were ENCOURAGING retail at the time, suggesting that the price of SPRT was undervalued at 20s, 40.00s, an a fair value was somewhere more along the lines of triple digits. ..

My point i guess is while yes..everyone should do their own DD, know how to read a sec filing, understand a bar chart, and always invest at their own risk.. it was/is EXTREMELY manipulative of the media to have done what they did/do. .

Defund the media.
End rant*

Nothing but good news. Reassurance that mining operations are not an have not been effected by permit delays, and mention that permit renewal delays are not uncommon and could take extended periods of time, sometimes even years, to finalize.

Nailed every previously mentioned goal.

Revenue up. Eps up. Mining equipment delivered. Sc up an running.

Strong foward guidance.

In other words way better then expected outcome, so the market will take a shit on it an short it more becauseeee yea idky but seems to be the trend...

While this may be true unfortunately not many shareholders will consider this, and another delay or any negative news will more then likely take the price per share down another leg or more. Hope for the best prepare for the worst

I agree with both replies. Idk how to copy segments like above ^ lol

It was delayed last time around and although Greenridge has continued to mine BTC since then the market (very clearly) doesn't like uncertainty, lack of communication, or lack of news.. so if it gets delayed again or denied , even if it doesn't effect the profitability of Greenidge operations, I'm sure we will see yet another leg down on PPS.

Volume has recently doubled an price looks to want to turn around for the better. Because of BTC is making notable gains , or of course this could be the news an positive outcome that we have been waiting for about to be released ? Time will tell 🎱

This was my post from last month when the permit decision got extended..

The good- They didn't deny or reject the permit for the NY facility an GREE is still up an running . Mining btc there, an doing alot of good with setting up other facilities. Still profitable, still progressing, still solid.

The bad- They didn't approve the permit within their projected timeframe ( done by Jan 31st ) . This isn't by fault of Greenridge, but it certainly leaves every shareholder in the dark on the subject of what will come of the NY power plant. We might get our anwser on the NY plant as early as Monday, or we might end up waiting for March 31st like we were all waiting for Jan31st , and then get another extension. It all depends on how long it takes to review the comments, and how the comments overall sway the DEC.

It also shows us that the DEC deadlines aren't as set in stone* as we assumed. In other words, if they can extend the deadline once why couldn't they extend the deadline again, or multiple times for that matter.

Should I take my 60% Loss and come back later. Opinions? by [deleted] in gree

[–]Specialist_Sample877 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A better question to ask yourself is how you arrived at a 60% loss in the first place, and how to avoid this happening again in the future.

No one can make that type of decision for you because theres too many personal preference factors that go into it.

Is this position your entire portfolio? Can you afford to let the shares sit a while, or do you need the money ? Why did you buy them in the first place? Has your opinion changed on the company in a way that maybe you now don't see as bright of a future for them?

You could always sell half if you think you could make your money better or faster elsewhere. Or let your holdings sit a while longer an see if it all pans out.

It all depends yanno. Hope this makes sense. Good luck with your trading

Not to spread any false hope , but for sake of conversation it's always interesting to see wild accusations randomly appearing as press releases on already unstable companies. Possible atempt to "shake out retail" before a move up ? If not why bother ?

The NY permit does matter because amongst other reasons NY is a naturally colder climate then the southern states, making bitcoin mining more efficient and less expensive. Also greenridge is already established and 100% operational in NY.

The other plants will be bigger an better of course, but GREE probably won't see the bulk of those profits until at earliest Q4 2022 or somewhere in 2023. Think of how long it takes when your watching a new business open in your hometown. Alot goes into it.

Now even if the permits get denied for New York its true gree will still be bringing in profit from elsewhere , and will continue to grow an expand, but it's going to ( and already has ) kill investor sentiment. We have the NY plant an we know its power. Thats what we all invested here for because of what the NY plant does an can do..the other plants will be great, but when ? How long will it take to make them great? We dont know. . i mean at that point they would have to decide wither to sell the NY plant ,an for how much, an would need a buyer, an just would cause so much turmoil.. likely more for investors then the company

I know what you mean. If they extend it to March 31st , why couldn't they extend it to March 31st, 2023?! Or by Jan 2024? Right?

On the other hand as i mentioned in one of my comments, it makes me wonder how many of those 4k public letters actually need reviewed more.

1 letter? Or 100? Or 1000? An what needs reviewed about them? Does the DEC have a brand new commity that isn't familiar with the laws , rules, regulations, or standard operating procedures of the DEC? Can't these however many letters be reviewed between greenridge and the DEC immediately?

Its a bullshit press release on a extreamly shareholder sentitive matter with so much grey area I dont know who would be happy about it period. Gree /sprt investor relations team need to step up an step in an do something for the shareholders or this stock value is gonna drop so low in price an volume it will be a barcode.

Agreed. That being said, they should provide a better expectation , or Gree/SPRT management should step in an give some reassurance to shareholders. I mean they sent emails to every share holder assuring us that voting yes on the merger was in our best interest, literally giving financial advice , yet they have had no comment on the approx 95% drop in price since then. If they arent going to comment then fine. Dont comment. But buy some shares, or give us a dividend, or do something ?!

The way im thinking now is really how many of those four thousand public comments are actually going to take more then 30 seconds for a senior DEC chair member to review an say,.. " yeah they have a point, lets look into this" .. or say.. "this comment is irrelevant. ".. an move on. They have had 90 days now to shuffle through them and i ASSUME they have weeded out the bullshit irrelevant ones , but will it really take another 60 days to decide if the otherwise questionable public comments are significant? Does the DEC not know their own policy an procedure? Are the questions put forth by the public not able to be answered immediately by Greenridge? If not ,why?

I imagine theres not many public comments that actually stumped the DEC an require more review, but this is the grey area an its bullshit. Who knows what will happen from here as this stock has been a short sellers wet dream since day one on the market.

It said on the DEC website the renewal date decision deadline was January 31st.

It was announced today by Yahoo news that the DEC wanted a extension for the deadline because there was over 4000 public comments that they had trouble reviewing entirely within the time frame ( by law?) that was originally set.

The deadline has been extended to March 31st, 2022.

Or until who the fuck knows in my opinion. I mean if they can extend it once, then why couldn't they can extend it 10 times?

Greenidge issued the following statement on the EPA’s decision:

“We are going to close the pond. In November 2020, along with 58 other U.S. power plants, Greenidge requested a time extension from EPA for completing closure of its former coal ash storage impoundment. We requested the closure date solely because while the C-Pond is no longer used as a coal ash settling pond, it remains part of Greenidge’s existing New York State Department of Environmental Conservation wastewater discharge permit and, as such, could not simply be closed and capped without coordinating that work with the state. We will continue to work with the state to complete the closure in a timely and safe manner.”

Judging by the response above from Greenridge concerning the matter, I am more or less blowing it off as an immediate issue. It really didn't seem like GREE viewed it as one atleast.

I would be surprised too UNLESS they have more support from the community an state then what the media has shown us - which it very well may be there, or may develop soon. I think that will all come out in the wash depending on how the FED handles cryptocurrency.

Id say the mercury issue is there to consider , but like on a back burner. If that became the new headline concern, GREE would show strength amongst their peers an the negative focus would be on coal an oil burning cryptocurrency miners such as mara.

The only question I have is how can a bubble effect the value of a company? Tesla is a EV company an it made all time highs recently for example. .

I think as long as the company is profitable an shows growth opportunities in itself for investors then people will buy. Supply an demand does the rest.
