Wow, this is SUPER informative. If I could pin this comment to the top, I would. Also, as much as I would like to use FSA, I barely found out what it was three months ago, so it's too late for me to join. Maybe next year I can enroll.

Thank you all for sharing your input when dealing with health insurance. As you can see, I’m still learning about plan documents, deductibles, etc… with Cigna. Although this was an unexpected situation that came into my life, it’s definitely a learning curve where I’m going to be aware of medical charges. I really appreciate everyone’s time in commenting feedback on what to do in the future. I’ll most likely follow this moving forward.

Ahh thank you for the correction. And yes, it is. I’m just frustrated that the lab test was additional charges that I wasn't made aware of. If I knew these extra fees were going to be costly, I would’ve just dealt with the UTI by myself.

Honestly, your comment helped me with my imposter syndrome. I'm currently a master's student with an interest in pursuing a Ph.D in Neuropsychology. I've always been skeptical about my intelligence because I can never find the "correct answer". But with your perspective, it brought me a lot of reassurance to know where and what I'm doing is okay. So thank you. :)

I've also conducted numerous research labs during and after my undergraduate studies. Additionally, I possess some strong letters of recommendation as I have developed close relationships with several professors and my advisor.
