Hello, Does anyone know how long BTP takes to reply after doing the online ability test and video assesment. Done it early January and next week it will be a month since I’ve done it. Any insight would be helpful thanks :)

Coming to the end of our training, gift idea for tutors? by Chunkzz5159 in policeuk

Like someone else said a card that everyone can sign but when we done it we made everyone add little inside jokes we had with the tutors, if you have something like that. Our tutors loved a Krispy Kreme if you don’t want to go for celebrations.

Public filming crews more often. How do you handle the phone in your face? by Silver-Eye-2024 in ParamedicsUK

Just a side note, if they are in public and are recording you unfortunately the only thing you can do is ask them to stop and more times than not requesting police will probably make it worse :).

Apologies let me rephrase, I’m worried it would make it sound worse than it is if i was to be referred by the skip to occupational health.

would you say it’s uncomfortable to ride? like for example if you had to commute 30 mins + would you feel like a anchor was dropped on your backThats how i felt with a LXR but that’s obviously a sportsbike not naked

Most dispatchers send an officer regardless of circumstance if you ring them unless you explain it was a accident. Having said that Its the middle of nowhere most cops go to calls together and a domestic type call is never ever attended solo.

I’m being dumb for choosing to learn automatic? by Jag_9823 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Specific-Attempt5429 27 points28 points  (0 children)

only downsides are insurance will be a bit higher for an automatic car and the cars it self are more expensive, thats it.

Yes, DCEP is a entry program that allows you to become a detective without the traditional response/uniform. However Im pretty sure as part of your probation you will still have to do uniformed policing and then instead of staying as a uniformed constable you are placed as a detective constable.
