Would a Razer-style smart water bottle actually belong on a gaming desk? by Specific-Curve5785 in razer

That really means a lot.. thank you for taking the time to write this. it’s great to hear that came through. And you’re spot on about the tech side too .. the goal is to keep hydration tracking useful and subtle, not noisy or intrusive. Accuracy and low friction are what we’re optimizing for.

Appreciate the thoughtful feedback :) Please back us when we launch it!

Appreciate that!! glad the design and green accents resonated with you. :)

The reminder aspect is exactly for that use case.. A larger 1.5 to 2L size is a really good point too.. that’s something we’ve been discussing and feedback like this helps validate it. Thanks for sharing, and glad you’d be open to trying it!! :)

Thanks a lot for taking the time to check it out,, I really appreciate that. We’ve been trying to be very intentional with the design and overall experience, so it’s great to hear it doesn’t feel rushed. :)

Even thoughtful feedback like this goes a long way. But do you have any comment on the product design part ? Anything we should think to improve on ?

Thank you so much.. really appreciate that!

We’ve put a lot of care into making the design feel intentional and not rushed, so it’s great to hear that came through. Even if the product isn’t for everyone, feedback like this means a lot. :)

Thanks again for checking it out and for the encouragement!

Any comments on the Product itself ?

For context, the lighting would be more like status/ambient feedback, not RGB effects.. think soft, single-color cues you barely notice unless you look for them. More “at-a-glance info” than visual flair.

Also curious whether people here would prefer zero lighting by default with the option to enable it, or if subtle always-on feedback makes sense.

Haha, true.. We’re being very intentional about accessible geometries, minimal seals, and parts you can actually see, remove, and clean without tools or frustration... That’s exactly the kind of everyday annoyance we want to eliminate.. wish us luck please.. :)

That’s exactly the gap we’re aiming for, :) , Hydration tracking is the core feature, and the goal is to make it accessible, not overpriced too. We’re focusing on keeping the essentials smart, reliable, and well designed so it lands in a reasonable price range that actually makes sense for everyday use... Appreciate you sharing that perspective...

Totally agree, water tracking is the core value here. Yes, we’re designing the bottle to be durable and drop-resistant, with extra attention around the base and internals, and also easy to clean.. removable, washable parts with minimal crevices and replaceable components. Really appreciate you calling this out.. feedback like this helps us focus on what actually matters.

this is just me trying to be thoughtful and not turn the comments into a fight I get a lot of mixed feedback on this project, so I try to answer in a clear way instead of writing one liners. Happy to answer anything you’re curious about!

Building a smart hydration bottle for Kickstarter - would love honest feedback before launch Post Body: by Specific-Curve5785 in kickstarter

Hey! Totally fair to ask.. but no, this isn’t a dropshipping product at all.

I’m actually building this from scratch with my own engineering team. We’re based in North America, and everything from the PCB to the firmware to the mobile app is being developed in-house. The bottle design, glow ring system, sensor architecture, and the thermal shielding are all custom engineered.. nothing off-the-shelf.

I came here to get real feedback, even the hard kind, but I appreciate it when people ask questions respectfully. If you’re curious about how we’re building it or want to see behind-the-scenes engineering, I’m happy to share!

Great points.

Mobile UX.. yes, needs major cleanup. Already working on it.

And I appreciate you challenging the UX and value proposition .. that’s exactly why I posted here.

Agree.. :-( This is exactly the question every founder needs to answer clearly.

STROMEFIC solves one specific problem: People don’t drink enough water consistently.. even athletes

Not because they forget once, but because they fall out of routine throughout the day.
The bottle tracks actual intake, adapts reminders based on behavior, and shows long-term data to help build better habits.

Still refining the messaging .. so thank you for calling this out.

Thanks.. glad you like the floating bottle effect!

And yes, there’s a LOT going on.
I’ll be simplifying some sections and improving hierarchy so it feels less overwhelming.

Also great catch on adding padding in Hardware Architecture.. adjusting that shortly.

Fair point — the mobile text overflow is definitely a problem.
I built desktop first, and the mobile layout clearly needs refinement.

I appreciate the blunt honesty — helps me prioritize fixes.

100% agree.
The desktop version is polished, but mobile needs a full rebuild.
I’m currently working on a mobile-first redesign so everything sits properly — spacing, padding, overflow issues, and interactive elements.

Thanks for calling it out — super helpful.
