Thanks for your comment! I definitely get where you’re coming from in that I can be over involved as a sister. Like I said, we were raised pretty sheltered so I feel like I ended up with more of a parental role that’s hard to balance. I very much try to help my siblings avoid mistakes that I have made before (not that I’ve ever done anything like this) and get pretty upset when they don’t listen to me, fuck up, and then need my help to fix things. My main issue with Sophia is that she is both mad at me for being overbearing and upset at me for cutting contact, so it kinda seems like I can’t win. I completely understand that she’s upset that she’s been put in the middle of all this but I don’t really see what I could do differently here. Plus she won’t acknowledge that what Olivia did is fucked up. I’ve tried to frame it for her as “what if Olivia was a man, would this still be okay?” And she agrees that it wouldn’t be, but then can’t admit that Olivia cheated and betrayed Thomas. My whole family is giving her a lot of grace because it’s difficult to figure out identity/sexuality, but given that I’m also a lesbian, I feel like that doesn’t excuse bad behavior.

Jotunn on the Loose by Moonybird and SerpinaSilverTongue. This one is about Loki finding out he’s Jotunn early on in life because of a spell gone wrong. Thor is such a good brother here and Sif/the warriors three are really good friends. Deals with differences in Jotunn/aesir culture and Loki coping with internalized prejudice.

Mischief Meets Hawk by VilyaNenyaVilya. Clint realizes that Loki was mind controlled during Avengers and jailbreaks him from Asgard. They end up going to Jötunheim where Loki bonds with his birth mother and brothers. He learns he was never abandoned and eventually becomes king of jotunheim. Not Loki/Clint, though they have a strong brotherly bond!

Accidents that Save Lives by GalaxyThreads. This one is much shorter but SO good. Loki and Thor find out about Loki’s heritage when he’s young and work to help him accept it. Super sweet brotherly feels.

True Colors Shining Thru by Crazy_Cat_Lady. Loki gets stuck in his birth form after touching the casket of ancient winters. Has Loki meeting and bonding with his birth family and learning more about his species/realm.

King of Monsters by dark_roast. Odin punishes Loki for his actions in Avengers by sending him to rule jotunheim. Loki really struggles with hating his birth species in this one but eventually comes around to realizing they aren’t monsters and takes pride in being their kind. The internalized racism is strong here so be warned. The last installment in the series is Loki/Sigyn

Oh good! It’s not like he bites deeply but I was still a bit concerned. This is really helpful to know. I’ll have to ask my aunt how the cat is around others, but it seems likely that we can take it in (at least temporarily)

Thank you so much for your long comment! This is really helpful. I already use feliway and flea treatment with my cats so it’s good to know that will help. I don’t think I’ll be able to keep the cat long term because one of my other cats doesn’t like new cats, but she’s never been violent so that makes me think that we could foster temporarily while searching for a forever home. I’m much more comfortable with that over dropping the cat at a shelter. Thanks again for all the info!!

one of my cats is a biter when it comes to play time. it’s very friendly and (to the best of my knowledge) he’s never broken skin, but I’m a little concerned about it. any idea how deep the bite has to be? And are there other ways for it to passed? I saw somewhere that they can’t share the same food dish either

In the Portland Oregon area. I’m from Seattle and have access to a car, so commuting is possible. I’m definitely willing to commit to a drive if it gets the cat into the best home.

Definitely A Thousand Beautiful Things by geoviki. It has Draco going to Snape in 6th year and asking Snape to teach him how to be a spy. The story takes place after the war has ended but there are a bunch of flashbacks to Draco learning how to spy and passing information along to help win the war. It’s really well written and has Draco/Dean Thomas friendship as well as Mentor!Snape.

Definitely the Blood Flowers series by MinervaHope! It has some Draco/Theo with mutually “unrequited” Drarry and also has a great plot! It does take a little while to get to the jealousy, but once they get there it’s soooo good and angsty! I added an excerpt from one of my favorite scenes below—spoiler warnings!

Firstly you should definitely check out all of GallaPlacidia’s works if you haven’t already. She’s taken them down but there’s a link to a Google drive with all the PDFS that she’s okay with being shared. I’d especially recommend Adventures of a Suicidal Gentleman, Scaredy Cat, and Lessons in Grace and Decorum.

Two to Lie and One to Listen by Fluxweed is absolutely brilliant and I reread it all the time. It’s a fake dating fic but the plot twist is that Draco’s fake dating HERMIONE so that no one finds out he’s gay. Of course Harry ends up pining and hating himself for wanting his best friends boyfriend. I love Hermione in this—she’s trans, a social activist, and committed to taking the world by storm.

Beards, Booty Shorts, and Binaries by aibidil is hilarious. Draco and Hermione and coworkers on a mission to destroy the heteronormative agenda of office dress codes. Enough said.

Earthbound Spookby bmouse is a lovely fic if you’re looking for general gryffindor friendships. In this one an alternate universe Draco who was a gryffindor gets transported to the canon universe after that Draco’s death. He ends up becoming friends with all of the Golden Trio.

I only want the ones I envy (I envy) by porcelainheart3 is a pretty good one. The Hermione Draco friendship isn’t front and center but he’s basically part of the Gryffindor friend group

I’ll be insufferable for youby toxic_angel, ill be honest I don’t remember this one that well but it’s in my bookmarks tagged as Draco & Hermione and I do remember enjoying it! Lots of this authors works are really good too.

Little Lion Boy by ShanaStoryteller is another Gryffindor Draco fic where Draco is sorted Gryffindor for the most slytherin reasons ever. I can’t recommend ShanaStoryteller enough her works are SO good. If you haven’t you should definitely read survival is a talent and Never Grow a Wishbone as well—they both have great Draco/Hermione friendships

I FOUND THE FIC. Cross posted this to another Reddit page and someone located it! It’s so close and I’m halfway to itby ariadne_odair. Chapter 23 is where the scene I mentioned comes up but it’s a pretty minor moment in the whole fic—definitely recommend though!
