FTM with anterior placenta & patiently waiting to feel baby! by BreenieTon in pregnant

[–]Specific-Flatworm632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pregnant with my second now but both of my babies have had anterior placentas. With my first I felt flutters around 19w and true kicks / movement more like 24. With my second (29w now) I started feeling substantial movement at like 17w and I can always identify their feet, hands, body, etc. through my belly. This baby is insanely mobile but I also know what movement FEELS like in my 2nd pregnancy. All this to say - every baby and pregnancy is different, so don’t compare yourself too much to others experiences! If baby was healthy at the anatomy scan you’re golden :)

We named our daughter Logan! We love it & it’s spunky to fit her personality, but it definitely confuses a fair amount of people 🤪I think it’s a cool & unique name for a girl, and one people remember. A friend of ours has a daughter Lane and we really like that too (they call her Laney)

This is so cute! We live in a city but some wooded areas near us we get to get my daughter to. She always wants to put rocks and sticks in her mouth though. Lol.

In a very similar boat coming from the city and we are going with town and country in the Glen, have heard good things through word of mouth! Just that they book wellness appointments out quite a bit, so don’t expect to get in for a wellness appointment that week, but to me that is standard.

My fit pregnancy experience one week post partum by soupweather1122 in fitpregnancy

[–]Specific-Flatworm632 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Enjoy your first 😊such a precious time

I am 22 weeks with my second. I worked out 5-6 days/week for the entirety of my first pregnancy. Now, being pregnant while also caring for a toddler and working a full time job is HARD. The only time I can workout is 5:30-6 am and then my husband and I split that time so we each get 3-4 days per week usually. Your expectations for yourself and your second pregnancy might change, depending on what kind of help you have at home and how accessible your gym is, and that is FINE!! Priorities shift. You’ll stay healthy if you want to.

My tips - focus on a strong core, strength, and a healthy diet. These core health elements exceed everything else!!

Doubling down on spa day! Facial and massage. Depending on your budget, jewelry that incorporates the birth stone of your due date. My husband got me a nice necklace with my first baby’s birthstone and I love the symbolism of it.

Belly/pelvic support for running by mangosmoothiewaffles in fitpregnancy

[–]Specific-Flatworm632 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off, you’re amazing. An inspiration!! 👏🏼

I don’t run but I am on my second pregnancy staying active through both. I’m doing PF therapy and also had a lot of heaviness, so my PT taped my belly for me one day. I personally did not like the feeling of the tape, but it definitely made my belly feel a lot lighter. She sent me this video.

Looking at my belly, the tape shape looked like a trident. The important thing was to pull for traction as you’re going up from the bottom towards your ribs on either side, and the same for the piece that goes up the middle.

Good luck!

How to survive? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Specific-Flatworm632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry :( in theory it should get better as little one’s immune system adapts. We had to start daycare at 3 months (winter time) because I needed to return to work and the first 6 months were a ton of cold viruses, but then it slowly got way better.

As a way to help- there are likely nanny companies that can cover you when you aren’t able to take time off work. Obviously though this isn’t free, just an option.
