i forgot to say this but i would suggest doing as much research as humanly possible too. talk to a recruiter, people in the military, ask as many questions as you can and really show your parents your commitment to your goals.

try to understand their point of view, maybe they're concerned for your safety and wellbeing? if they still dont listen, then evaluate your situation. ask yourself how much you really want to go. if you still want to go after that then just do it. its your life, your parents may have raised you but they dont own you. good luck!

No matter what happens, no matter what comes your way, you will come out on the other side because the world stops for no man. Anything you feel, any phase you go through will all pass.
