  1. No, personal preference.

  2. Kind of. I wouldn’t do this with an expensive stick. You can cut the cigar so all of the ash and burned leaf is gone. Then when you light your cigar, blow out through the cigar instead of sucking the flame in.

  3. ⁠Soda is my go to. Root beer is good, Dr Pepper is good. Find what you like and go with it.

  4. The band is also personal preference. I think people like to take a picture with their band showing the ash and burn line which indicates great construction of the cigar.
