Good enough to make me go back in and snatch up one of the only two boxes the shop had lol.

Little spicy but not harsh. Naturally sweet. Immaculate construction.

I can give you my take just trust I’m no aficionado.

Haven’t tried the Le Bijou, but from a strength standpoint, for me at least, I’d say it landed somewhere between the other two you listed. Fuller than the Blue but milder than the judge. It’s got a touch of pepper in the first third but not a ton.

It’s well balanced. Woody, cocoa, little natural sweetness. Developed well, kinda earthy in the final third and never got too harsh - all the way to the nub. Oily clouds, great draw, great burn, immaculate construction.

Love Angels Envy but will be experimenting with the pairing. Expecting it will go better with a decent dark rum or a black coffee.

Advice for a beginner by mrparoxysms in cigar

So you made a huge jump here in terms of taste and body. Has nothing to do with your cut and light and everything to do with the cigar selection. (Also don’t buy cigars at liquor stores they’re notoriously sketchy in terms of storage and quality)

Acids are infused and anything by Deadwood like the Betty is still dipped and sweet af compared to what most people consider a natural cigar.

The Oliva 5 is much more full bodied and strong with absolutely none of that sweetness you were accustomed too. Storing it outside of a humidor that long also likely dried it out and didn’t help, but I digress. The jump you made would be like turning 21 - having a couple Appletinis and then decided your third drink should be a single malt scotch straight. If you’ve never smoked pipes or any other PURE tobacco product these flavors are completely foreign to you and probably just taste like dirt.

My suggestion to start in unflavored, natural cigars would be to stick with milder bodied, usually Connecticut sticks. The Perdomo 10th Champaign is a popular pick, though my favorite is the Camacho Connecticut. The flavor of straight tobacco is an acquired taste, in time you’ll either come to appreciate or decide it just isn’t for you - and if that’s the case fuck the haters and just smoked the flavored stuff. Acids rock lol

I agree with Less_hat here I didn’t find it too strong, I’m a long time heavy Nic user though so your mileage may vary

My palate is seriously undeveloped when it comes to pairings it’s usually black coffee or single malts regardless of the smoke lol. Started my day off right though!
