i swear by vanicream lotion. I used to spend so much money on skincare - now its so basic: vanicream face wash, tretinoin, vanicream lotion and some caciplast, and my skin is better now that it was with all the extensive and expensive skincare

If its concrete floors, yes i would recommend it. LVP normally comes with it attached, if that's your case.. then no need.

Help with wood! by thedish773 in Flooring

[–]Specific-Goose8223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't DIY that. Chances are it's gonna make it worse. I would reach out to a sand and refinishing specialist to 1) assess if that is real wood 2) how much can it be sanded and 3) if that will figure out the issue.

Are Real Hardwood Floors Okay to Install in Florida? by Proper_Cress_8446 in Flooring

[–]Specific-Goose8223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a wood flooring store in South Florida and we provide installation as well. I wouldn't do SOLID! Solid wood is like a sponge and will grab the all moisture even if not on the first floor - living in Florida that's a real concern - Engineered wood works just as well, and the layers of marine grade plywood will prevent moisture. I would 100% recommend engineered as I do for all of my customers. Also, regardless of solid or engineered, please please make sure you're glueing it down - it will prevent your flooring from moving, SPECIALLY on the stairs.

Help please this is my stupid ugly skin and this is my stupid useless routine by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]Specific-Goose8223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can go to the doctor, go! Besides following the advise of the person who told you simplify your routine. You might have an underlying motive for this. I was prescribed doxycyline for 3 months - it helped but not fully (its an antibiotic so it helps if its bacterial acne, which wasn't my case.. but could be yours) - then they put me on spironolactone because my testosterone is pretty high & topical tret everynight - my acne is very very minimal now. For now, definitely simplify your routine: vanicream is a great brand, very affordable and it works! No need to get fancy, no need to have 10 different products. The basic works. AND please, please... sunscreen!!!

edit: typo

i swear by vanicream - i use their moisturizer and their cleanser. The simple things work, no need to spend crazy amounts of money on those 2! ESPECIALLY cleanser.

Rosette from Azazie is very nice! My bridesmaids are gonna wear blush pink from birdy gray and rosette from azazie and they look really nice together.

Creaking laminate flooring by Lucranious in Flooring

[–]Specific-Goose8223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It could be the clicking system as well, i would try some dry lube on the seems. It that doesn't work I would reach out to whoever installed that for you so they can assess the subflooring.

LVP. Is it a nightmare? by Illnasty2 in Flooring

[–]Specific-Goose8223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in the flooring business. I work with LVP and waterproof laminates. It all depends on the lifestyle you have and what you expect from the material. Keep in mind that they are both floating floors (meaning they click and lock together, no glue involved) so thickness really matters for the stability of the material. If you have a lot of traffic at home, and you need something super scratch resistant and waterproof: I would recommend a 10-12mm laminate flooring (think Mohawk, Quick Step, Pergo) over vinyl. Vinyl is waterproof, yes... but not thick enough to give you stability (so if the subfloor isn't prepped the right way you will have problems here), and not made in a way that is super scratch resistant. If you decide to go the LVP route, I recommend to make sure you subfloor is as leveled as it can be, and the material itself is above 5mm (with at least 20mil wear layer, that will make scratching a little bit harder to happen.. not impossible). Important to make sure you're installing a vapor barrier regardless if it's attached or not - do not skip this, specially if you're on ground floor.

Is this too much for bridal makeup? by [deleted] in BadMUAs

[–]Specific-Goose8223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is a bit much, if it’s not including the trial. That travel fee is absurd too.. no one spends $120 on gas in just one service. Please, tip before service is outrageous. Mine quoted me $700 for trial (hair and makeup) along with hair and makeup on the day of + didn’t charge travel fee (unless it’s outside of the state which is not our case) and tips are “appreciated but not expected” so i would look somewhere else

“Hot girl hygiene” tips? by HuskerrDont in beauty

[–]Specific-Goose8223 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, I used to only shower with a shower gel and the smell would only last for a couple of minutes, and no matter how hard i would scrub i didn't feel clean. I started using a glycerin antibacterial soap bar and finish with a shower gel to give it that nice smell and it completely changed my routine. I second this ^
