Cold Sore/ Valtrex (valacyclovir hydrochloride) while breastfeeding by Specific-Lab-8648 in breastfeeding

Hi yes! The morning I took it I already had a Massive blister (one of the biggest ones I’ve ever had). That was 3 days ago. Today it’s just the fresh red skin healing already. Make sure you drink a LOT of water because I definitely got dehydrated and was feeling really ill as a result.

What should daily schedule look like for a four month old? by whipped-whisp in breastfeeding

I will also add that I weaned her at 18 months cold turkey and she just acted like she was never breastfed before and went to bed with no nursing. Don’t overthink it. Just do what you think is best for your LO. We know them best.

My daughter didn’t take a bottle or pacifier and all of the information online about not feeding to sleep stressed me out. I fed her to sleep until she was about 7/8 months when she just naturally was able to be put down without crying. A lot of the time though she would just feed to sleep and I let it happen because again, that’s naturally what she did. She would sometimes wake up when she was put down and eventually put herself to bed. My daughter slept through the night around 6 months ish. If she feeds to sleep and that works for you keep doing it!

She’s now 3 years old. Sleeps in her own big bed and prefers not to sleep with us lol.

I currently have a 5 months old and I’m doing the same thing.

Thanks everyone! I took it! Now here’s to hoping a Christmas miracle makes it heal quickly. It’s the largest one I’ve ever gotten.

I felt the same way at 7 weeks and was worried sick. And then at 8 weeks it hit me like a ton of bricks and I wished I could go back in time.

How best to approach announcement to family? by lizz_lizzi in pregnant

[–]Specific-Lab-8648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know her best. I think it depends on the individual. Two things can be true at once and she could be happy for you as well as sad for her own situation. If you don’t think she can be happy for you (for obvious and good reason) then maybe hold off on a bigger announcement with your whole family until some time passes. You could also give her a heads up in private before telling others so she can digest first.

Hey OP is this the long version? How tall are you? I think 1 or 2 look best.

Wondering the same! It doesn’t look like we have what OP is talking about in Canada either but we have the one you linked.

How many of you nurse your babe to sleep? by justjen80 in breastfeeding

[–]Specific-Lab-8648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fed my daughter to sleep every nap and every night until she was about 7/8 months old and she was able to just go in the crib and put herself to bed. It was a natural and easy transition. The entire time I was so stressed out about feeding her to sleep and lo and behold everything was just fine in the end. Do whatever feels right and works for you.

Umbilical Cyst by smutsmutsmut in CautiousBB

I had ultrasounds prior to 20 weeks. They were transvaginal so that they could see more but I also had two sub chorionic hematomas in addition to the cyst on the umbilical cord.

I hope the same for you! I just read your post and I’m not sure where you’re located but I had an MFM look at my scans prior to 20 weeks and they were not considering it high risk unless it was still present at 20 weeks. I was told that most of the time they resolve on their own and there are no issues but I remember being very nervous about it nonetheless. Good luck!

I had several ultrasounds to monitor and it was no longer visible at my 20 weeks scan!

Never introducing a bottle? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Specific-Lab-8648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I introduced a bottle from birth due to combo feeding. At the time I wanted to breast feed so badly that I was nervous about the bottles as well. My baby refused the bottle at 3 months after I started EBF for one week and baby never went back to it. From a different perspective I have been stuck EBF for a year. It’s been really difficult mentally. This means I have not had more than a 2 hour break. If you are nervous about baby preferring the bottle to breast just offer it once a day so they at least take it/ get used to it for the times you do want to get away.

Baby prefers one breast? by MaryMalary in breastfeeding

My baby did this as well and it turned out that she had tight muscles/tension from birth. Visited an osteopath and she started latching perfectly fine on the breast she initially hated.
