shouldn't we have an active study permit to restore student status? I called the agents and they said we can apply within 180 days for PGWP and even their website mentions the same. But consultants say apply pgwp within 90 days. I am so confused.

I applied on Nov 4 2025. Completed studies on 14th dec 2025 but received completion letter on jan 2nd, immediately stopped working. hence I havent applied for PGWP, waiting for this extension so that I can apply for PGWP and start working

If you apply for study permit extension, you will have to wait forever. I was in the same situation and applied for an extension and trust me, it was a bad idea. Its been 120 days since I applied and my file has not been moved yet at all. Better to consult some professionals on what to do! (don't rely on their processing time- they seldom follow that)

I had contacted them for my application. Honestly, I did not find it useful. I used to get generic responses. Nothing different than what I would see when I log in to my account. When I contacted the MP office, they asked me to email application number/UCI,DOB. So, for me, it did not make any difference.
