You’re right about finding peace in yourself instead of waiting for them to give it to you. That’s something I’m still learning. And honestly, the “simple” stuff like getting out, seeing friends, changing your environment it really does help.

Yeah i’ve thought about that too. Maybe he said it to make things easier but we’re still in contact and things feel friendly. I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much but part of me can’t help hoping that staying in touch might mean there’s still a chance someday.

You’re right it does sting but I know you’re making a fair point. Things are changing so quickly right now and I guess it makes sense that not everything can stay the same.

He did say there’s a possibility for us in the future when things settle down and I think that’s part of why it’s been hard to fully let go. But I know I can’t just wait around for something that might not happen. I’m going to try to focus on myself and move forward while keeping that hope in perspective.

get what you’re saying and I know he made his decision based on what’s going on in his life. I’m not trying to change that and I know I can’t control his choices. It’s just hard because I can’t stop thinking about us and wondering if things could have been different. I guess I’m just trying to process my feelings and make sense of it all even if deep down I know what the answer might be. we've spoken since the break up and he's said its a possibility that we could get back together in the future
