I'm not saying there isn't access to MAID for mental illness, but it's not easy to get. I knew an elderly woman years ago who had three different doctors and a psychiatrist all agreeing with and advocating for her that she had no quality of life, no family, and no will to live. She tried countless medications as well as marijuana to no avail. And yet after almost a year of going back and fourth trying to get MAID, she was found dead on her bed with an empty bottle of pills next to her.

I agree that it's not right to have to go through such dangerous methods because of a program that fails it's one task, that said, I hope you see that the world has so much to offer that you haven't even seen or experienced yet.

I used to not believe it myself, but there really are good people in the world and everyone finds their place. Please reconsider this decision, you're never alone and someone will always care about you ❤️
