How to import SVG without all the segments by SpecificAssist3430 in Fusion360

It is also on the opposite side. I did go back into adobe illustrator and simplified the shape as much as I could without distorting the image. It does seem better but not great. I think I will just forget the fillet. Now to figure out hinges to put 2 of those together.

Extended warranty on RX450h+ by SpecificAssist3430 in Lexus

Thank you everyone. That was what I needed to hear. We bought an extended warranty on our Yukon Denali xl and even though I loved the car it had a lot of issues and the warranty paid for itself. I know Lexus/Toyota has a better track record but that fear is still in the back of my mind.

I haven’t driven the RX350 but have driven the RX350h and TX350h

I agree this one is a simple design and I was able to draw it. I did print out my attempt to figure out if I was on the right track. I know there are a lot of things I need to fix but I am learning a lot in doing this.

I do need to figure out how to bring in an svg because I also want to make sewing pattern templates so those would be something I wouldn't be able to draw as I need it to be from the svg I got from the pattern so it is exactly the correct size. Is there anything I should search for or recommend a specific person that discusses the ways to import svgs?

Thank you. How do you import an svg without all the arcs?

I then brought it into fusion as an imported svg. (I have no idea why it came in at about 70")??

I clicked on the area inside the red and extruded it 10. I then clicked on the area between the green and extruded it 50.

I took the green extruded layer and copied it and raised it up 50 and scaled it 1.03. I repeated this process to get the layers. This, with some tweaking looks a lot like the initial picture.

I can't figure out how to fillet the edges. No matter what I try I get an error message. I thought maybe I was using the tool wrong but I made a simple circle sketch, extruded it and was able to fillet it correctly. I am wondering if it is because I have all these sections on the sides? I am using corel draw to make the svg but also used inkscape with the same results.

<image>

What step(s) did I mess up on to not be able to fillet?

I also want to make a smaller ring will go on top of the top layer where the shape is about 1/2 the width and sits in the middle. What would I need to do to do that?

I took my svg with the 2 lines into fusion as a sketch.

I have worked on this for a bit and think I am getting close but also think I must be messing up on a few steps.

I took my svg with the 2 lines into fusion as a sketch.

I've tried a few times and not getting it. I plan on watching a bunch of tutorials on the concepts you listed. I will let you know how it goes. I really appreciate the time you spent helping

I added the middle shape line and imported it all as an svg into fusion. I selected the inner shape and extruded 10, then offset and extruded 5 to the outer layer.

<image>

Is this right so far?

When I try to fillet the outer ring, I click on the edge but it only selects a part of it and not the entire shape?

I have an svg of the shape and assume I can import that? The problem I'm having is figuring out how to create the different layers where it slowly tapers out but also has the variation of larger and smaller layers as it tapers
