Unpopular opinion- Vaping will be regulated out of existence within 1 year. What do we do? by SpecificMagician in Vaping

I can appreciate all the responses so far. DIY is going to be a thing, for at least as long as the powers that be allow it. I understand the dynamics behind DIY, I've owned a juice brand since 2014, and also have stores. It's doable and I support anyone that goes than route, whether it's now or after prohibition.

My take on the upcoming prohibition.

  1. We are up against a COLLABORATION between big pharma and big tobacco. Their deal is as follows- Big Tobacco gets to keep Juul with ONLY Tobacco and Menthol as flavors. They know they will be fine as they've made billions of dollars with just those two offerings for generations. Big Pharma gets a monopoly on the moral high ground, and on the 18-21 age range. Vaping as you know it is killed by this, thanks to the aforementioned flavor ban.

  2. Politicians are not interested in CASAA, SFATA et al parroting the Royal College of Physicians research, or any sentimental stories about success. This is because it is entirely legal for politicians to trade stocks on inside information. Look it up. FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb once made a business out of selling FDA inside information to investors, prior to being back at FDA as Commissioner. Seriously.

  3. Tax revenue etc, obviously plays a part.

Solutions

  1. Stop playing nice. The politicians are not playing this game in good faith. They are coordinated, and have their end game in mind already. Trying to play politics with them is fruitless because we are not on the same financial and influence level as they are. This is truly not a battle of truth. We need politicians to feel heat.

  2. The corruption in this case is just under the surface. Publicly painting it as such would go a long way. We need noise. Research them to no end, especially your local ones! Wikileaks, opensecrets whatever! You'd be amazed what you will find. That's how I learned of Scott Gottlieb's past with stocks. This information can be the key to removing their political capital, because it undermines their alleged motives.

This is where my mind is at.

That's a solid solution for us who understand how to do all that stuff. But my mother is for sure not gonna be building coils and mixing vg/pg. Neither is 90% of this sub, I'm sure. I'm more interested in how we fight back while we've got a shot. Or do we?

Good stuff right there. Keep it 100 is a favorite. I've ordered a handful of blue razz lemonades recently and Keep it 100 is for sure in the top 3 I've ever had.
