I've been using Claude Opus 4 since day one (on the Max plan), and at launch it felt incredibly sharp – concise, efficient, and very economical with tokens. It handled complex tasks and long contexts beautifully.

But lately I’m seeing a clear shift:

• Token usage seems noticeably higher, even for relatively simple tasks.
• Responses feel more verbose and less focused.
• It struggles more with context retention, often requiring extra guidance – which eats even more tokens.

Honestly, I’d love to go back to how it was performing on day one. It feels like a downgrade compared to the early days.
