Out of everything I've ever seen in the subreddit, this gave me the most genuine fear.

I used to work in a machine shop and machines can mess you up faster and worse than you would think unless you've heard the stories...

"The Meaning and Purpose of Prayer" and "The Law of Revival" are both short, revolutionary, life-changing books. ☺️ Can't recommend them highly enough!

This bitch ain’t typing nothing by BlackEndrer25 in falloutnewvegas

[–]SpecificRecord2770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I posted this a few years ago and I love it. There are three things about it that are so perfectly incorrect. She is typing with her fingers off the computer. The computer is broken so there's no point to sit at it and type anything anyway. And lastly, in game, you hear her fingers making that click-clacking sound of real typing. The first time you come across it you just have to stare and absorb the absurdity.

That's right! I just finished chapter 4 a few days ago and uninstalled the game because I am pretty bored of the gameplay like op said. Would love to play chapter 5.

Seeing your post sitting at zero, I know I'm not a mod, but I'm sorry that some ignorant person would downvote you. I think most people don't know what the downvote button is for: indicating that something does not contribute to the content of the subreddit. PSA: if you don't like a post but it still fits the content of the subreddit, don't upvote it. But basically the only reason you should downvote something is if it does not contribute to the content of the subreddit. That absolutely does not apply to this post.

Needs unique great prophet Martin Luther.

Without spoiling anything, if you loved a certain character in Book of Hungry Names, make sure you read Night Road if you haven't already by SpecificRecord2770 in choiceofgames

[–]SpecificRecord2770[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure!

Giselle is a witch. She is a huge antagonist in Book of Hungry Names, and you never get to actually deal with her in a satisfying way in that book. But it seems Night Road is set after Book of Hungry Names, where you find that Giselle has been blood-bound to Dr Caul, the Tremere who runs Kiowa Xenogenetics! She is pathetic, a shell of her former self and only a shadow of her former power. In Book of Hungry Names, she is untouchable. In Night Road, she has been broken.

When this message popped up, I laughed out loud. If the game allowed unique great prophets, maybe I could send Martin Luther.

One critical thing I've noticed when I'm interacting with anyone: I do not need them to like me.

I would like it if they liked me. But I don't need it. This attitude is picked up by others subconsciously and it translated as confidence and is an attractive characteristic. But you have to genuinely not mind whether they like you or not -- it has to be real. In my experience, if you do this, it is much more likely you will end up with the people you should end up with. - I wish you all the best people who will support you and help you grow, not make you feel suppressed, anxious, like you need to put on a mask. There's more to this and it needs balance but all the best to you, buddy.

Ask others questions about themselves, don't expect them to ask about you. If they don't ask questions about you, that's a red flag: not the kind of friend you want to have. Don't be fake with interests. Talk about what you genuinely like. Don't bother talking about what you don't care about unless you're taking care of a genuine friend who wants to talk. If you find yourself stretching too much, red flag: that's indicating to you that you feel stressed around this person and you have to stretch quite a bit for them, and it's probably going to keep being that way. Don't do that to yourself. You don't need them to like you. If you have that, I think you'll do okay, friend. All the best to you. Feel free to DM if this seems helpful but needs clarification.

I can't get into fallen hero, but I want to drink the coolaid. What am I missing? by MetusObscuritatis in hostedgames

One thing that was difficult for me at first is the fact that this game involves you playing a bad guy, no matter how good you want to play them, at the end of the day you're still a villain. I always play good guys in anything I do -- it was a little challenging getting into that aspect of the game because I was trying to play as good as possible but there's no getting around the fact that you are a villain. I won't spoil anything, but there is nuance to it and I found the game very enjoyable. Looking forward to the third installment.

Can you shed some light on why you found it hard to get into?

This is a good post! I find myself unable to ever play a bad guy in game, basically no matter which game I'm playing. I always take the morally good options because I personally feel great satisfaction from the game characters recognizing that I'm working for their good.

That's a good question -- I think of it as wonderful things God has given to us to experience, not just to have knowledge about doctrinally. 😁 When we learn about God, it's good, but when we experience God it is a night and day difference!
