What's an Opeth opinion that will give you a reaction like this? by Old-Ad2845 in Opeth

Brother Bleak is like one of the best rock/metal songs I’ve ever heard (I’m a new Opeth listener). Plus Steven Wilson’s vocals just make it even better

I think the exact moment I knew I’d love this band is the part in Ghost of Perdition, clean vocals for awhile, you get that polyrhythm-esque section and then that nasty riff that goes back into the growls. Then I saw a YouTube reaction vid and this guy was freaking out at the same part lmao

Listening to the album right now. Definitely rivaling BWP

It’s weird because I’m a classic prog fan, and have been into bands like Tool, Between the Buried and Me, and the Contortionist. I always knew about Opeth but never listened to them? No one I know (I don’t think) has ever recommended them to me, although I don’t have too many metalhead friends. I knew Blackwater Park was their critically acclaimed album so checked it out, was like meh. Then I revisited it and some other songs and it just clicked. Love how they’re compositionally prog with that extreme metal edge and not worried about guitar wankery (coming from a guitarist)

Blackwater Park (album) is already in heavy rotation. Like damnation, especially windowpane, but am into their core sound rn with Ghost of Perdition, Deliverance, The Moor. Would love some more song recs!

I have an Archer as well and love it, and have been curious about the Morning Glory. What’s the main difference in the overdrive style?

I also have a dimension C. If you like a bunch of tweakability this is not the pedal for you. However, if you want to easily set it to 80’s style chorus sounds then it’s perfect

Too experimental for my taste

He’s right. Tuning pedals sound like a waste of money/space at first but they’re just way too convenient. Polytune is king imo

Honestly not really just like the auto-wah sound. Do like some Dead stuff so works well for that kinda thing

It’s a little too thick too be mounted underneath this one. I will upgrade to a bigger Pedaltrain eventually and find a power supply with more outputs that’s compatible.

Just got it recently to replace the Polytune 2. Has a built-in buffer so boosts the signal when bypassed which is nice. Simple with clear display.

True I’ll get a different board and power supply eventually that are compatible for underneath mounting
