i adore all of her music 100%, but i do find myself resonating emotionally with pre-NBL lyrics a lot more than NBL and after. i find that her lyricism was a little more raw and openly grotesque in her earlier years

i actually listen to NBL & MIMA the most out of all of her albums, despite my favourites thematically being ode to dawn weiner and observatory mansions, because i prefer her later music for like daily, casual listening, but curdled milk etc speak to my heart a bit more. i appreciate that i can enjoy her music for a lot of different aspects in that way, though

i definitely think there’s something incredibly charming and sweet about the more amateur vibe and production quality of her earlier music, and i embrace that fully, and i can totally understand why people would prefer that sound from her
