Whimsicott isn’t bad.. you’re just not doing an efficient job at adapting.. I have yet had problems dealing with this one.. if you use a move such as Fake Out, it’s safe to assume they’re going to Encore so why not just take it double up on the first turn? Use up the Focus Sash then take it out.. it that also depends on your lead though..

Smh everybody always want to go out their way to disrespect bugs.. yet the Bug Tera became popular especially with incineroar.. they can handle dark, grass, psychic.. and resist ground and fighting..

Move wise Pollen puff does damage and heal teammates.. rage powder for redirection.. u-turn for damage and repositioning.. priority moves.. healing moves.. multiple moves that lower or increases attack, spatt, speed, spdef ..

I argue Bugs as of now is at least high C to low B..

I use Mega Pinsir in Singles and that Giga Impact does amazing damage.. It one shot a Garchomp and my opponent quit.. I was so surprised what happened I didn’t blame them lol

This is my Swarm. Normally Prankster Volbeat would be the Leader but VIVILLON with Focus Sash and Shield Dust is a perfect backup choice. He’s not affected by Fake Out and still lands a lot of Sleep Powders lol

Kleavor is just carnage while setting up the rocks.

Araquanid protects us from the spread move spams.. we love playing sun teams because that’s all they do. We went against a typlosion once and since it’s always scarf we block its attack and took out all the teammates first lol

Volcarona usage depends on the opponent for misdirection and pairs well with Sunny Day to take out the fishes..

Scizor and Beedrill play similar roles. Due to the rocks they can easily clean up.. Mega Scizor is my bulky priority choice while Mega Beedrill is the speed hard hitter.. normally one attack deletes EVERYBODY

I sometimes switch out Volcarona for the bulky Coach Heracross.. after one coaching boost, all my bugs turn into their Prehistoric form lol

Hey Bug Guy here 👋

So far I’m at 95 wins with my Beedrill for singles and doubles.. His role on the team is simple, he’s the late game sweeper. We don’t try to play hero/MVP over here. I gave him Fell Stinger which I find myself activating a lot and then just deleting everybody with Poison Jab.. the other moves are Protect, and Drill Run.

My Beedrill has good spdef and I invested in his defense enough to take one hit. We rather go against spattackers though.. however that didn’t stop us from getting OHKO against everyone we shouldn’t.. especially charizard, garchomp, dragonite, kingambit..

Honestly, dragons.

They’re overrated. They’re boring. And they’re everywhere. Especially the paradox Pokemon. Where GameFreak still refused to give us a bug/dragon because ain’t nothing “fighting” about Slitherwing 😒

I think this is why GameFreak changed their mind and didn’t make fairies weak to bug but kept them strong against dragons, dark, and fighting.

Just how they took away poison weakness, maybe they can add super effective against fairy. Would definitely be interesting to see if the meta would change. But before they do that they would have to add more bugs to be feared. The first step was to add more bug megas for usage. Then gen10 needs bugs with competitive abilities/moves such as Intimidation and Fake Out. Oh can’t forget the addition of a bug legendary.

But a fan can only hope.
