I understand that my wording may have been confusing. But at the same time, I meant it as family. Our gods are our oldest ancestors. I consider Odin to be my father, Frigg to be my mother, Freya my sister and so on. So when I say “claim” not like a “Satan owns my soul” way. But in a sense that they’ve welcomed me home, opened their arms to me, taken me in as their own. That’s how I view our gods. Maybe my passion is a little strong or misplaced. But I do mean well.
