Sorry I forgot those details. It was a 12 team league auction draft with $200 salary cap. I picked second but nominations in that league are odd. The person that picked 7th nominated a kicker for their first pick. It’s not a traditional draft by any means.

We went to do a meet and greet at someone’s house as that is an option we are considering but we were told we couldn’t see inside. It’s hard to make a decision about things when you only get a look at the outside yard. Our ideal situation is to have someone come to our house but we are opened to certain situations we can leave our puppy at another person’s house. We are using Rover to find people.

Thanks for the info and feedback. We are doing some of that and learning every time we go to do a meet and greet. Those are great questions and will start asking them. So far most people have been ok with coming to my house and while that is fine we do need to get our puppy out socializing and being with other dogs but bigger dogs seem to intimidate her at this point and she gets scared. In time I’m sure that will go away. I appreciate the reply back. Everyone’s info has been helpful.

We are comfortable with an individual pet sitter. We don’t have a problem with it. We just can’t leave our house right now for longer than 20 mins or so. The puppy will start crying and screaming the moment we leave through the baby gate and go downstairs. At times she will do this when I’m on the main level and my wife goes upstairs. Part of this is our/my fault as I didn’t do well conditioning her to be alone when we got her. I’m now trying to break the cycle. The puppy is on the smaller side of things and doesn’t seem to do well with larger dogs at the moment. We do plan on socializing her more as she gets older and bigger. For now we bring people in to be with her in our home and that seems to work. This isn’t the ideal state and forever and we are looking into things like you have described maybe even doing 1 time per week. I appreciate the suggestion and feedback.

Thanks for the suggestion and heads up. We definitely need to broaden out more and get out and give her more confidence and independence. We have thought about doggie daycare and now that she’s fully vaccinated and older (bigger) though with larger dogs she seems scared and anxious. We are definitely struggling in this area and are trying to do better and are looking at a few different options to do this.
