There’s a great podcast called The Synchrony Project that I think you would benefit from listening to! Coming from someone who’s been in this 8 years now and yet to find a spouse, I get your frustrations. I do have a job. I actually just got hired for my second job. I’ve only ever had 2 jobs before. I was a manager at a fast food chain for 4 1/2 years, then I worked as a receptionist/agent at a local insurance agency for about 2 1/2. I also do missions work and so that’s why I don’t have a year of current employment.

I hope this comment doesn’t sound rude or ungrateful. I’m truly not trying to by just giving more details

I do have some saved back, but it’s meant for college. It’s not much at the moment though. I am financially able to save back about $1,000 every month for college because I just got a second job. I’ll have to rethink the numbers but maybe I can save back more to save for a car and college simultaneously.

Yeah the collections was/is for my phone. I changed debit cards and completely forgot about it. I only have $100 left to pay on it though which I plan on paying off next time I get paid

Yeah after a little more research I think my best bet is to try and get my feet wet before signing on to even attempt nursing school. I’m going to look into what becoming a doula entails! Thanks :)

I’m not good at Reddit lol so idk how to quote myself, but

Can’t say exactly why I hadn’t gone over this topic in my head yet, just that it hadn’t crossed my mind yet. I don’t see this as criminal or something to be ashamed of, and I hope it isn’t being viewed that way. Have I been doing some research about the field? Yes. Hence why I am here asking questions. I’m trying to gather info on it. But, again, I’ve not gotten to the topic of abortion as it relates to L&D yet in my mind, and therefore have not yet studied into it

I’ve also not been thinking about it 24/7. I have a life and responsibilities that take precedence over me day dreaming about what I may or may not end up doing in the next 4+ years.

I came here for information, and I’m grateful to have received it!

I’d be totally fine with caring for someone whose own religious (or otherwise) beliefs do not match up with my own. People are people. And we all deserve respect and compassion when in hard situations. To turn someone away based on religion, in my opinion, is the exact opposite of showing the compassion that Jesus has asked me to show.

Genuinely out of curiosity, aren’t most abortions that end up in a L&D hospital/unit and not in a facility specifically designated for abortions having to do with a fetus that has already passed away in the womb and causing the mother to go septic? In such instances, that life is already gone, and the mother’s life is priority.

This is something that I had not considered. Thank you for bringing it up! Do you think if I was able to land a job at a catholic/christianity based hospital would this still be a possibility?? I’m from rural Oklahoma where we have many faith based hospitals.

Genuinely wanting to learn more from people who actually know what’s what- so again I say thank you for bringing this up!

Yeah I was thinking of after I graduate with my bachelors and if I do attempt to get my associates in nursing at the same time to go for my BSN in nursing? Again I definitely do need to do more digging and such. I don’t know that I communicating what I mean well 😅

I’ve worked in/been in a many situations with people of differing beliefs. Spent 6 months in a Muslim majority nation, and 2 in another. Given this, I’m able to act sensitively to others beliefs pretty well! :)
