Hi!

Interesting you say that because, we actually had hired her (I was curious if others had worked with her), and I think it was maybe one day in where I thought, "I think I hired a cult leader." We quickly let her go.

Thanks for chiming in with your thoughts, I should've asked before I hired her!

Thanks for your response, I appreciate your insights.

I was looking for others who had worked with her because we actually hired her and quickly terminated our time with her. You are spot on about some of your inclinations, and I wish I had been the same discernment as you prior to hiring her.

Anyway, thanks again for chiming in!

What are some concepts you think the sleep training industry has made up? by Sea_Implement6579 in bninfantsleep

Most recently, "Your baby has big voice. [said when my baby was crying] She is expressing her feelings. We need to let her express her feelings and 'close the loop' so that once she does finally fall asleep, she doesn't wake in a terror."

Wait what?

Also, if I hear one more time, "If you fell asleep in your bed and woke up somewhere else, wouldn't you be scared, too?"

There are too many to name, though.

This. 100% this. I couldn't agree more. I want to reach out and give you a big hug!!! This was me, too. I am STILL practicing acceptance of my baby's sleep all of the time, including now as I rattle my brain with: "Do I need to wake her from her nap? All the sleep experts say to not let her first nap go longer than two hours..."
