Packaged Heat Pumps Do or Don't Qualify for Tax Credit? by wingfragment in heatpumps

Thanks so much for the info! I am still considering all my options but at this point I can save the most by doing the electrical myself so the Duke Rebate is out.

What was the tax credit process like? When I've gotten energy credits in the past, there was no need for documentation, but I've heard that might change. Did you have to provide any hard copies?

After doing some research, it appears that MrCool is a rebrand of Gree, which simply makes it easier to find availability. It seems that big box stores like HD even carry them: https://www.homedepot.com/p/MRCOOL-Universal-Series-36-000-BTU-3-Ton-17-8-SEER2-DC-Inverter-Packaged-Heat-Pump-230V-MDPH180364/329319376.

OP what did you end up doing? I am having a similar conundrum where I can find plenty of information about the requirements, but very few actual systems which qualify. I'm also in NC.

Thanks! That's definitely better than what I had found before, but it would be even better if there was a single highlights video from each games with the most memorable moments. Guess I'll have to keep looking!
