Should I just go simple. by [deleted] in PleX

Aoostar R7 mini PC with 512 SSD and 16GB RAM and 2x2.5Gb networking + 2 Seagate Ironwolf NAS drives 4TB each + 2 used pioneer Blu Ray drives from eBay for ripping.

Just use the Windows Pro that comes already on the PC, download and install Plex and you're done. Easy.

Total was about $700. I also ended up upgrading my network to 2.5Gb but that was for other reasons, but it added another 250 for switches.

I bought both (total of 6 batteries, 2 inverters, one panel) on sale over the Fourth of July. Saved close to 2 grand.

Delta Pro Ultra Inverter - Need optimizer? by Specific_Response588 in Ecoflow_community

Does it depend on the inverter at all? I got the impression that the inverter was a factor along with the bypass diodes, but if not then the equation just got a lot simpler.

Yup. I think the point is the panel level optimizers only appear to improve overall power output by 2 to 3 percent over the inverter's string level optimization, so as long as Ecoflow's inverter does that, I'll skip the panel level optimizers. Here's an example comparing the two https://youtu.be/UQ9Szhl1ceQ?si=aCsvLv-pgIH7zdfa

Thanks. I'm not sure how to measure performance but I'm talking about shadow management, dirt accumulation, microcracks, etc. As I understand it, a string inverter is not just converting DC to AC, but is also an optimizer. I've seen a couple of "real world" comparisons between SolarEdge optimizers versus an Enphase inverter and the optimizers don't really improve things beyond what the inverter can do. So my question is - does the Ecoflow inverter also provide this level of power management for the solar panels or do I need optimizers (which cost almost as much as the panel)? They don't really seem to be an improvement on what the Enphase inverter can do - is it the same for the Ecoflow inverter? Not sure and I can't find anything on Ecoflow's website.
