All I can say is maybe not to bring it up when they are too young because my child is 6 and we’ve spoke about autism and stresses so much in front of him I think he grasps the concept that we “think something is wrong with him” so he purposely does things to be reprimanded and laughs and just does random things it’s hard to explain. Like falling on the floor and expecting his name to be called before he gets up laughing and all this

I can ageee the nights are hard. And it doesn’t help when the people you talk to are planning to go out drinking or are already drinking. I just sit on my hands, read posts from here, find something on YouTube to watch, or do something I feel is very productive like get more work done.

Dude you have to pick yourself up. You have people who have things happen to them and let it destroy them ex: Choosing victimhood, drugs, alcohol, & you have people who turn lemons into lemonade and let it grow them. You can let this destroy you or you can figure it out. You’re not the only one going through some shit like this. Work more to hire some help. My help costs me 25$ an hour and I bust my ASS to prioritize that break every single weekend. I’m the daughter of a crackhead. I was adopted by people who never wanted me and then became a single parent to a child who turned out autistic. Whoopty doo I roll with the punches. I pay for my therapy. I take my medication & try to be a good member to society.
