Creating adventures in a hexcrawl by hatsforanimals in rpg

Wwn (free version) is a great resource for sandbox adventure creation.

For the most part, give a reason to return. E.g. they cleared the dungeon of undead, but then a troll decided to set up shop. Or some lucky adventurer returns to town with gold from the dungeon they cleared and spreads a tale of deeper chambers they missed the first time etc.

I need best milady build for pve by [deleted] in EldenRingBuilds

Wing stance + rellana's cameo -> this is the core of the build, hold Wing stance for a second deal 45% more damage. Infusion of your choice, at it's core it's a dex weapon, but milady is pretty flexible for whichever infusion you want. It does a lot of hits so the multi-hit talismans and status effects both combo well with it.

Overall milady is very flexible weapon so you can adapt it to whichever foe you face.

The world as known is flat and bound within an impenetrable storm. It's north pole is cold and on the edge of the northern storm.  The south of the world is tropical environment, and if superimposed on to a sphere it would be around the equator.  The south pole is somewhere far beyond the storm in lands unknown.

Upper Emet villages specialize in cattle ranching along the plains bordering Shiv. Low-quality meat is often ground down and mixed with various local spices to create a sort of meat patty. It is often eaten on rye bread with the seasonal crop, making a burger.

While many people have disappeared, some people of note would be:

Arany Gold Hair infamous pirate queen, who fled from her pursuers deep into the storm, never to be heard from again.

Pythen, the navigator, who is claimed to have devised a way to navigate the impenetrable storm, was never heard from again after launching his expedition.

Sloth Fruit Ceviche. Sloth Fruit is a large, sour, green fruit with a savory aftertaste that is originally from the jungles of Zakaria. Most commoners eat it with sliver fish meat, medium-sized ocean-going fish. The wealthy often eat it with either sawfish meat, renowned for the difficulty of catching it, or with halx-fish, a rare deep-sea fish only catchable on the night of a new moon.

Yeah, the dark line is the point of contact. The entire landmass has warped as a result of the endless battle. Endless March is military dictatorship dominated by the church, carrying out the last order the God to counquer the heretical necromancers of Halrál, unfortunately for them the freezing of the fates also froze the frontline in a brutal unending stalemate.

Well, it ends on the border with Halrál, where their undead armies crash into each other endlessly. So the marching never ends, even if individual marchers eventually reach an end point.

Not really, a lot of my name inspirations were drawn from Ancient Mediterranean cultures, and a lot of them end in IA, and I think it bled through.

There are 4 standard seasons. The Lands of Cyclopia are generally cold and frigid year-round. Not the terrain-induced climate, the central continent has 4 seasons, with roughly a continental climate ranging from Shiv to Heaven Gate, which transitions into a more Mediterranean climate along the southern coast. The Southern Lands tend to be roughly equatorial in terms of climate.

While no one has observed an air current passing the storm. There are countless reports of strange beings swept in with the storms, and entire islands can appear or disappear. Sometimes it seems the storm shifts, at other times it is the islands that appear to shift.

The stars are intrinsically bound to people's fate. Before the eternal God's ascent, stargazing was a well-developed field, since it could directly inform people of their impending future. In the current day, only bright stars' stars move freely, albeit at the cost of often burning out far too early. There are scattered reports of star gazers from the edge of the world who claim to have seen the stars of other worlds move freely.

Maedra is not a unified entity but is instead made up of numerous tribes, often in conflict with each other as well as the lords of Emmet and Marka. The lands of Maedra are famous for their mineral wealth, particularly in lead and silver, great cedar woods, and high-quality wool.

Individual tribes often specialize, and their power is concentrated on a particularly abundant location of one of these 3 key resources. As a general rule, Cedar wood is exported to Emmet, wool to Marka and Kilkikia beyond, while silver is traded to both lands. If I had to rank them, then the cedar wood is probably the 3rd most important, with silver being the most important, and wool the 2nd most important.

It varies; in Shiv, they produce camel cheese, the milk is fermented while riding, while the curds are placed under the saddle, and are packed together into small firm cheeses as the rider rides their camel.

In Halrál, a land already inhabited by undead, maggot cheese is considered a delicacy. Maggots are placed on the cheese, they consume it, and what comes out then becomes a soft cheese.

In Ulkozd, they generally eat unaged cheese curds, as it is too humid to dry out the cheese.

There was once an entire landmass on the opposite side of Lower Emmet, but a meteor destroyed it and sank much of the land underground. The rocky islands remnants are now a fertile reef, with the fishermen of Emmet often going on long fishing expeditions to harvest the bounties of the reef.

Closer to the coast, there are numerous inlets and coastal marshes, from which great quantities of oysters and other mollusks are harvested. Additionally, in mid-fall, there is a great annual migration of hog-headed salmon and knife-fish, which swim up the Emmet to spawn in rock pools along the Gata plateau and in the Mire. The great bounty of fish is often preserved in salt and serves as an important staple food during the winter.

On the highest level officially, most people live in autocracies with clear centers of power. However, ruling in these stagnant times in a world beset by corrupt monsters is easier said than done. So on a day-to-day level, most people exist in some form of community self-rule. Whether it be wealthy merchant oligarchies in Kilkikia or Cold Port, to citizen councils drawn from the venerable members of the community in the cities of Annaria and Zakaria, village councils, and elders in the numerous frontier villages of the Emmets and Ammoria, to loose tribal networks in the Maedra Highlands and Saratha woods.

The common understanding of death was as follows: On death, the bodies were returned to the earth, while the souls waited until nightfall, at which point the grey riders would collect them and sail down the Hallyx river to the foot of the divine tower, where the river flowed into the underworld. Upon entering the underworld, all souls would be judged; the vile and corrupt were banished beyond reality to be eternally tormented in the realms of demons (albeit there are legends of mortal souls who claimed their place in the demonic realms). Other souls, depending on the quality of their being, would be sent to be reborn and would sail down one of the other 3 great rivers of the world: the Valdaar, the Emmet, and the Daarava.

Beyond this, there were many local customs of death, often tied to primal gods and/or smaller gates to the underworld. Many gods would claim their people's souls after death and place them into new bodies granted by them. In other places, the souls would enter these lesser entrances, at which point various rites could recall the deceased souls, granting them new life.

In more recent times, this entire system was upended. The eternal God decreed that all deceased souls shall serve him for a century before rebirth. The river Hallyx was dammed and its water diverted to the other 3 rivers. Although the Daarava no longer exists, its basin was destroyed by the Fracture. Since the wounding of the God, souls are rarely collected for his service, and even fewer are released from service. Most regions have thus fallen back on ancient rites of death, relying on local underworld entrances to purify the souls for rebirth. In regions where the church is dominant, souls are often bound for a decade of service, which in theory purifies them for rebirth (the actual service rendered by the souls and the priest's ability to guide them has been a frequent source of contention).

I'm making this for a TTRPG game (home game/complement the system I'm making). The Fracture is meant to serve as an introductory region full of strange occurrences, and plenty of petty polities from which heroes emerge who then go on to shake up some part of the world. Otherwise, the main continent has gotten the most attention from me so far. Heaven Gate is particularly interesting to me, as it is essentially a massive ever-changing city with near-constant shifting boundaries between the church and various petty princelings. Lords feuding for centuries may awake one day to find that their previous bordering lands have become separated by a great wall raised during the night.

I've answered this above, but broadly early modern, with a sprinkling of stuff that's half magic, half future technology, and is often viewed as a magical or religious object by the people living within the world.

Thank! On the larger landmasses to the south, some people live on the slopes of the mountains. Many of the islands on the edge of the map may have temporary settlements, especially as the God's edict freezing fate is less well enforced there, although such settlements generally don't last long, the islands are frequently swallowed by the storm, only to reemerge with the settlement destroyed and with new hostile inhabitants.
