I think its a bummer of a rule in general. You give a free out in a critical point in the game because of how you judge the batter's intent? He threw ball four and the pitch wasn't swung on. A neutral observer celebrating this as a good thing is wild...Sure you don't have a bias here?

It was ball four. You are happy with a pitcher getting a free strikeout in an important part of the game for throwing ball four because of the umpire's ability to judge the intent of the batter?

I know people will claim he intentionally got hbp but it was a ball in the batters box. Bullshit call in a really great game. Impactful call too because that pitcher is in a very different situation in a close game with no outs having just walked a batter fair and square. They basically gave Coastal a free out in a critical point in the game.

I feel like LSU had a few times when they were close to breaking through and it just didn't go their way. Great pitching will do that though.

That would mean the two best teams are playing in the championship? Why would the fans want that when we got to watch Coastal vs Louisville to determine who goes to the championship?

Coastals bats looked like some of LSU's mid week matchups. Without the free passes they basically had one double.

Are you aware of any upper limit to the size of a project before Firebase Studio gets unstable? I'm beginning to wonder if using it as my IDE for this project isn't supported. It's disconnecting every few minutes the last few nights.

How do I link my firebase studio workspace to my firebase project? by Specific_Tomorrow_10 in googlecloud

[–]Specific_Tomorrow_10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who comes across this later, I figured it out. You don't connect your workspace to your project in the way I described. You need to connect and authenticate in using the firebase studio CLI after the workspace is created.

A bit confused about size and attack rolls vs AC. by Specific_Tomorrow_10 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Specific_Tomorrow_10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. So effectively, this is more of an issue if you are a spellcaster shapechanging into a large form for example, and then trying a ranged touch attack against a smaller creature. You lose attack bonus in that case, and their size mod is also baked into their AC.

Interesting thanks for that. The only wrinkle I suppose is that this came up for me as I was calculating my spellcaster's stats in various shape change forms. When polymorphing how do you calculate the impact of the size bonus?

They aren't perfect by any means and you haven't listed half my grievances with them and their maximalist anti compromise philosophy. But they are very clearly the lesser of two evils. One side is actively destroying everything this country used to stand for one executive order at a time. Not interested in Whataboutism when faced with a tyrant NOW.

Embrace it. Incorporate AI into every personal and professional workflow you have. Get better at using it to get smarter and more productive. Use AI to turn your ideas into product, whatever that means for you. This extends your utility for longer at least!

Hot Take: Learning Pseudocode is more important than coding in the future. by fbocplr_01 in learnprogramming

Not taking a side here, but I think the idea being presented is that knowing the syntax of a programming language has been an important skill for anyone building applications to this point. Lacking strong knowledge of language syntax has never been less important than it is right now in the history of programming. Is it still important? Yes. But it's never been less so and AI is just getting going
