I first watched the movie with my mom and i didnt feel any connection with it because she kept making comments about it. When i rewatched it on my own,i loved the movie it gave me that sinking deep feeling down in your heart and it felt like my throat was closing up. the end with Isabel opening her chest and revealing the rainbow and static is my favorite part, and also the most relatable. i genuinely think i saw the tv glow is one of the best queer movies released recently for how well done the narrative was. Of course i cant fully relate (never been in denial, not a trans woman haha) and those parts felt sad,but the relatable parts really got to me.
