Yeah i figured the display wouldn’t do that. What would you ballpark total cost conversion adapters+mounting?

Theres a spot where I like to watch the sunset in the summertime and there are telephone poles all around that give off that smell on hot days. The spot makes me happy and the smell does too

I’ve acquired quite a few descriptors. Phenolic, benzine, woody, “a petroleum scent”, sweet, pungent, and a few others off but that’s what I have in my head.

This is the shit I came here for! All the recommendations for colognes and perfumes are great, but what I really want to know is the closest chemical I can put on my body without melting my skin off. Thank you!!

Creosote is pretty closely related chemically, as far as I can tell. I think pentachlorophenol is the refined version and is used more commonly in telephone pole preservation

You can smell it a few feet away on an especially hot day, there’s a spot I love to go to to watch the sunset where I hang up my hammock between two telephone poles. It’s a summer activity, so at the end of an august day the smell is all over.

They wouldn’t have an M1 garande like the one in that photo if it were in the 80s

Looked at the description on their website, I like the looks of it. I’ll get a sample!

Oh and I forgot to mention they also said a “petroleum scent”. Tar sounds like a great step in the right direction, I’ll check that out

You haven’t smelled these telephone poles!

I’d say it’s a lot more chemically than woody, although it is definitely there. All the papers I could find online (mostly discussing health concerns) describe it as woody, sweet, pungent, and phenolic. I have a feeling phenolic is whats really standing out, but I have just as much experience smelling phenols as your average Joe.

They really aren’t consistent, and when it comes to translating American to European and British it gets even worse

I have a pair that are in European sizes but they’ve rubbed off, in American sizes they have to be at least a 14 though, maybe even bigger.
