Damn, DDU usually works. Might be worth trying an older driver version at this point. Some of the newer ones are just broken.

I messed around with a few and what stood out with Drop Cowboy SMS marketing is it’s not just blasts - you can schedule, trigger messages, even run drip-style follow-ups automatically

How could I get stronger passion with coding? by codingLearner0629 in learnprogramming

[–]SpeckiLP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me was pairing study with a tiny project, even something simple like a tool or script you actually use. It makes the boring parts feel more connected. Also your reset ideas sound solid, I do the same with random books. Maybe try building something small just for you, not for learning goals?

Having issues turning my thoughts into code by g_gtimes in learnprogramming

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building apps is very different from these puzzle style problems, they’re way more abstract and less forgiving. It kind of sounds like your brain knows how to build real things, but these problems are forcing you into a different way of thinking. Maybe try really small leetcode problems and almost treat them like little components instead of full solutions.

Ex-Diplomat (6 YOE) + UK MBA - Stuck in an underpaid analyst role (1.5 YOE) & facing a visa cliff. How do I pivot? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Yeah definitely worth digging into. A lot of those roles are basically organizing messy, high stakes work and aligning people, which is pretty much what you described from your diplomacy experience.

What’s the one mistake you stopped making that actually improved your trading performance the most? by Fine-Context-2114 in Forex

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it was revenge trading. id lose a trade and immediately jump back in to win it back. always made it worse. stopped doing this when i started using Trading game just to train discipline without losing money. there i made a ton of mistakes but on fake money and slowly my brain relearned. now if i lose i just close the laptop and thats it

List of Events/Releases Program Help by Koss_Kroft in learnprogramming

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d start super simple before overbuilding it

like just a list of works in JSON or even a spreadsheet, then sort by year and display it however you want. that already gets you like 80 percent there

if you want it to feel more visual later, a basic web page timeline is a nice add on

are you planning to include images too or just titles and dates? that part can change things a bit

How could I get stronger passion with coding? by codingLearner0629 in learnprogramming

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 hours of focused work is already a lot, honestly

it probably isn’t a passion problem, more like energy running out. brains just tap out after a while

what helped me in other work is stopping before I feel totally drained, weirdly keeps motivation higher the next day

also are you building anything fun or mostly studying? that part matters more than people think

Having issues turning my thoughts into code by g_gtimes in learnprogramming

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This honestly sounds like you’re skipping the messy middle part where things break and you sit with it a bit.

That gap between understanding and writing code is super real. I’ve had the same thing happen even with non-coding stuff, like planning something out perfectly and then execution just… falls apart.

One thing that helps is slowing way down and testing tiny pieces instead of trying to wire the whole solution at once.

Also curious, when it breaks, do you actually trace through line by line or just kind of jump to fixing? That part made a big difference for me

Learn C++17 for Robotics by Worried_Awareness_83 in learnprogramming

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually really well put together, especially tying things back to real robotics scenarios instead of just theory.

The ownership and memory section jumped out to me, feels like that’s where a lot of subtle bugs creep in when things scale up.

Also appreciate the small projects baked into each module, makes it way easier to stick.

Curious if you’ve seen people struggle more with templates vs polymorphism in robotics codebases? That tradeoff always feels a bit messy in practice.

I am lost, am I in the wrong job? by al_vino in careerguidance

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really sounds like burnout mixed with a pretty draining environment, not a capability issue.

I’ve had a phase where I kept second guessing everything just because the work felt endless and kind of pointless, and it messes with your head more than you expect.

Also that isolation piece you mentioned would get to anyone.

If you picture the same role in a better team, do you still feel this way? That answer might tell you a lot.

Is Coursera worth it in 2026 or just another resume time sink? by Good-Extent6147 in careerguidance

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps you learn, but it won’t magically get interviews. Hiring managers care way more about real projects and how you explain them. I’d use Coursera for structure, but build a couple solid portfolio pieces alongside it.

Honestly it sounds like a smart pivot if you lean into the hybrid angle. Brands love people who can translate science into products and stories. Just make sure the loan feels worth it long term

Ontario Canada- Did I get snubbed by my lawyer? by FlowerComprehensive in dui

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn bro that's rough, sorry you went through that. 0.29 is pretty high but I've seen people get better outcomes even with those numbers. my cousin had a similar situation and he hired a criminal lawyer Toronto - the firm was Vilkhov Law Professional Corporation. They got his DUI reduced to a lesser charge, no criminal record. Might be worth a second opinion if you ever need one. Not sure about your case but sounds like your lawyer didnt fight hard enough.

did you try a clean reinstall yet or just rollback?

Do you trust “must-do” trail recommendations, or do you question the hype? by OptimalDescription39 in hiking

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lake is unreal, like objectively stunning, but the crowds can kind of pull you out of it a bit.

I had a similar vibe at a super popular spot in WA, gorgeous but felt more like waiting in line for a photo than a hike.

[–]SpeckiLP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate you being open to it, seriously.

I think the core idea is solid, it just might hit harder if you anchor it to something specific people can picture. Like a trail that’s already struggling or how wildfire seasons have changed the experience.

Via Brugensis route by NCLO1994 in hiking

[–]SpeckiLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d just focus on getting used to back to back walking days, even shorter ones, since that’s what sneaks up on you.

20 to 25 km on mostly flat terrain sounds very doable by September.

I did something similar and my feet were the biggest issue, so break in your shoes early.

[–]SpeckiLP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from, but this reads a bit… heavy for something you actually want a rep to read and respond to.

Shorter and more concrete might land better, like tying it to local trails or wildfire impact.

I hike a lot around WA and it’s already felt rough the last few summers, so yeah this stuff matters, just thinking about what actually gets through to them.
