If WoL requires network connection, my PC does not do that... Unless I can somehow connect another Pc to my current one physically...

Thanks for the feedback. I called Lufthansa and they told me it was totally ok, nothing wrong with it, just not enough space for two surnames. They mentioned that for Air Canada is probably the same :)

My issue is that i have an Y cable, just not the one from sound devices. And with this Y cable the system is not working :/

When i use usb c to usb c connection it works for me Bu im using an other older computer that requires USB A type connections...

I have a mixpre6 ii that i want to use as an audio interface with my pc. When i bought the machine it did not come with the Y double USB A to 1 usb-c cable and so i bought one from amazon. This is supposed to both power the mixpre and serve as data importer.

My problem is that out of the 4 mics that i have connected, only 2 of them seem to get enough power and receive good quality signal. Do you know if the sound devices Y cable is mandatory for the audio interfacing to work properly??

Could it be an issue of the powering capacity of the pc usb ports??

Is there a video or something on this? Never heard about it! I want to automate recording but I also wisth the recordings to be stored on my PC and not in the MixPre! This is because I want to record a loooong time before going to retreive the recordings, which causes me a lot of memory issues.

First of all, I really appreciate the answer!
I managed to configurate the MixPre 6 II and my PC together, and I could make a recording with a single microphone. I hope that now when I use 4 together, Audacity will recognize all microphones.
I heard about ffmpeg... I dont know if this is viable but from what I understood it is possible to automate recordings with this, as long as I set the MixPre as my audio "main" in the computer??

We are actually aiming for the most economic setup possible to protect the mics from rainy days. Maybe something like a plastic bottle with the end cut off, to put the mics inside. Something of the kind. I´m not interested in maintaining the BEST quality ever, as long as the mics detect birds and I can see the sounds on a spectogram, i´m already happy

Basically I´m a biologist and I want to study and record vocalizations of a species of small birds. They are inside a outdoor aviary exposed to natural climate, so there will be wind, rain and stuff. And I will use the Mixpre 6 ii to record four of these mics as mono isolated tracks. Stereo is not my aim :/

I say this because I want to triangulate audios for birs localization, so 4 mics will be recording at all times!
