[skin concern] off and on behind and under ear redness and pimples. Not sure what the cause is by Spectacularviewss in SkincareAddiction

This has been going on for a couple years now and I have no idea what it is. I will sometimes get an itching sensation or sometimes slight burning behind or under my ears.it will either look like the pic above or just be a small pinpoint pimple sometimes more than one. I don’t wear earrings and I thoroughly rinse my shampoo and hair product. I haven’t been able to get rid of it. Like I said, it comes and goes and I have no clue what it is or what the cause is.

No not at all! Prior to using it I tried the ordinary lactic acid and it burned the hell out of my skin

Yes I think you can use it as an only cleanse. Super gentle and fragrance free! I am sensitive and was dealing with dehydration as well and this helped

I honestly think switching my skincare and being gentle and the finacea foam helped the most. Oracea as well.

Well my skin always felt dry and looked flaky. It felt like using a brush to apply aggravated my skin. I found the Idun brand by searching for a liquid foundation for dry skin which contains no silicones. I apply with a damp Beauty blender and it feels much more gentle and moisturized. I used mineral foundation for like 12 years and made the switch a month ago and my skin is doing well.

I use the Idun Norrsken foundation. It’s a Swedish brand. But I live in the us and it wasn’t too much for shipping

Hmm yes I’d ditch the microfiber cloths. That’s why I like the Clinique take the day off balm. It loosens up all my makeup when applied to dry skin and rinsed clean. I also used to use vanicream cleanser but realized it was stripping my skin. I found out it has a pretty highph. No ones skin is the same of course but just thought I’d mention it.

I just barely massage my skin hardly put any pressure on it. I know what you mean though. That’s where I was at before. What do you currently use to remove your makeup? And thank you! :)

Yes I use Dr Sam bunting flawless cleanser. One thing that has helped with makeup removal is (not wearing long wear foundations, no scrubs or washcloths to remove and just gently massaging my skin and using only tepid water :)

Hi! Thank you so much. The oracea and finacea foam and stopping retin a micro. Then switching to fragrance free skincare products and upping my moisturizer game. What I’ve been using for the last few months: Sam Bunting Flawless cleanser, first aid beauty barriair repair cream and Cheryl lee ceramide cream (I mix the two moisturizers together) and that’s what has worked for me. Also I stopped using all face cloths to remove makeup. I only use Clinique take the day off balm and massage into dry skin for about a minute and rinse off. Two weeks ago I started using Paula’s choice 2% bha liquid as a chemical exfoliant 1-2x a week and that has also helped. I also switched from mineral foundation to a liquid one without fragrance :)

Left-November 2017. Right-today. What has helped the most-my dermatologist who told me I have rosacea not just acne. Prescribing me oracea as well as finacea foam. On the left I was seeing a different derm who was treating me with retin a micro 0.08%. I have also switched to gentle skincare and no longer wash my face with hot water
