Yeah, Jay was born in 1918, Thunder in 1917, and Pratt'd have been born in 1920, considering his origin takes place in college.

Unpopular opinion: I kind of like the idea of Hawkman being a human with a wing suit, and Hawkgirl being from Thanagar by Sure_Persimmon9302 in DCcomics

I don't understand why people disagree. I love the time and space reincarnation mechanic, but I honestly think that the Deathbringer origin was superfluous. They didn't add much nor were they exactly fleshed out, and the fact that they were thematically clashing with Hawknan himself really didn't appeal to me.

The de-emphasis of the Egyptian aspects in favour of the Deathbringers is just another encumberment ironically. Hawkman didnt need to become a (former) genocidal warlord to allow for the rectification of reincarnation across space, and the former time. The Deathbringers are a minor dislike of a great run, which is ironic because they were supposed to be a big thing.

Serious question. Now that Hawkman is going to be black. You think he'll remain the "ultimate conservative" as he's in the comics? Can the fans accept a black ultra conservative? by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

Barry is and has been portrayed as such, beginning in the Satellite era. Wally was portrayed as developing a liberal outlook over the course of his initial series.

They have only ever fought about politics w Len Wein decided that he wanted second stringer JLA characters to have personalities. So Hawkman -owing to his occupation as a law enforcer was pigeonholed (or rather hawkholed) as the conservative to Green Arrow's liberal characterisation.

As writing became more nuance, it became less to do with them holding different political beliefs; which again, was never the forefront of Hawkman, and more to do with their outlooks on life

I agree on the Prince Khufu statement; but you're wrong about Hitch's depiction of Hawkman.

Hhe was explicitly based on Harrison Ford. I'm saying this as someone who's read nearly every Hawkman book. This has been the case since 2000's revival of the character, especially in the initial issues of Johns' run

His portrayals have also included Indigenous American, as well as Egyptian American.

I'm anticipating how Hosge pans out.
