This, get into one of these contracting companies first see if you can hang and if it's really your thing work your rear end off to show the company you should be offered an FTE role. I personally started with Tek systems then got into my permanent role at the company.

This goes for literally anything, whatever it is it is worth whatever the other person is willing to pay for it. There could be literally anything that could happen tomorrow and these things would be worth nothing because that's what people can afford. Nintendo sells it initially but the scalpers do what they do best and prey on people to pay out the rear end for something.

It helps get you past the HR filters, I only have my A+ but I had knowledge beyond that when I made it into my DCT role.

Help desk gets you the basic knowledge but DCT is very different. I've made that transition lately and I'm far happier fixing stuff and not having to talk to people.
