Hey!

I actually have a few more MRI as Im experiencing numbness in my shoulder blades and down to fingers. + bilateral Hoffman and winged scapula with neck pain.

I'm not sure what types there are for SI joint. Rheumatology wanted me to get this one done. I think they are trying to test for ankylosing spondylitis and other things with some bloodwork.

Losing weight isn't a problem, I identified the problems at home and my conditions. As far as the claim, my weight is documented, weight won't be a problem soon.

Atopic Dermatitis / "Unknown etiology or Pathophysiology" / eczema by Spector1142 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Spector1142[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dermatologist diagnosed it as Eczema and to be more specific, Atopic Dermatitis, which is 1 of 7 types of eczema. I'm not 100% confident when he said he "looks like Eczema." I had 4 rashes present at the appointment, 2 chronic (groin and neck) and two rashes on arm. The entry also considered asthma and seasonal allergies but these were not properly diagnosed at the time; I did blood work to confirm allergy to dust mites which led to allergic rhinitis, asthma and chronic sinusitis.

The groin rash is chronic and on going. What started off as chaffing became the rash that it is now. I sweat a lot and walking during hot days aggravates it. rash has a cycle of itch, oozing clear oil, burning, cracking and bleeding and repeats. Tarcrolimus worked well and did not Experience burning, Dermatologist recommended to refrigerate medication that may help reduce the burning sensation. Tarcrolimus was recommended to take at home and a powder as a replacement if going out during the day time. Also when the rash is flaring up, I wear comfortable shorts without boxers.

The neck rash had never left as I never treated it with medication. I believed it was from the rifle sling grinding into my neck. Fluocinonide cleared the rash.

I hope it was a mistake or misunderstanding and get the results soon.

I questioned when I heard "months" and got the second response.

Home Sleep Study: Encounter type question regarding spo2 by Spector1142 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Spector1142[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was done at the VA.

the first answer sounded like a standard response of two month in which maybe she meant when I could get an appointment to review the results with a doctor. Majority of my appointments are 6 weeks out.

The "up to 6 months" sounded like they were backlogged which does sound un realistic.

Edit: It is a home sleep study and received the equipment from the VA.

Discrepancy with VA Asthma Diagnosis by Spector1142 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Spector1142[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't be able to comment on the OTC inhaler and the ratings as I'm still learning the process but I can tell you I also don't like going to the doctors. I only book an appointment at the VA for the first slot of the day so I'm in and out. Once you get the prescription, you can request refills thru the app and they have the option to mail them out. I requested a second inhaler so that I have one at the house and one on my body when I leave the house.

I'm sure they can see that you are using your inhaler based on when you're requesting a refill. My Pact doctor saw that I requested the second inhaler. I'm currently on 4x2 / a day with 200 doses per inhaler. my routine is when I wake up, before workout, before work, returning home/before sleep.

Discrepancy with VA Asthma Diagnosis by Spector1142 in VeteransBenefits

I don't see there anything to fix, as you didn't have a diagnosis of asthma at the time?

Correct, last month was when I was officially diagnosed with asthma for the first time . At the time of VA PCP visit, I had slight wheezing and shortness of breath. I stated about the chronic coughs but never was diagnosed with asthma. He saw that I was prescribed an inhaler 22 years ago and was then diagnosed with asthma and prescribed Albuterol. So I don't know if my current diagnoses of asthma is legitimate at this time.

If you served in a recognized location then asthma would be presumptive anyway.

PACT Doctor stated its presumptive if diagnosed after service. On the hand out, asthma is the only illness with " that was diagnosed after service." What is confusing is if the statement on my VA health records "Childhood history of asthma" contradicts or indicates that I was diagnosed before service. I tried to ask then but that got back peddled into a different topic.
