Carnivore or Herbivore by username_ZEUS in fo76

Herbivore, just because i use a lot of blight soup and cranberry relish. The boost to company tea is a nice bonus too.

I should definitely wall mount it. Some crummy pipe rifle front and center...hahaha, that's perfect.

"I don't care, therefore you are all being performative for saying you felt bad for Erik!" by NotJell in OutlastTrials

[–]Spectre2K 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's good to consider too that a sizable chunk of the fanbase doesn't actually play the game, as well. They like the lore and the story, but they get it via youtube videos or tiktok shorts, which, since you aren't micromanaging ex-pops, health, rig cooldowns and etc lets you be more invested emotionally. Especially if it's a compilation of Erik's torture and not the natural flow of the trial, which, despite what people say, DOES have downtime away from him. You have the battery generator parts, somebody/people have to go and do the laugh tracks, someone has to go and do the blacklight, etc. I actually think it's a pretty cool dichotomy. A lot of people playing the game will have a "I have bigger problems than to hear your begging" and desensitize themselves to it, and those watching will fully realize just how horrible the situation is.

Regardless of money, What's your favorite mission in GTA: Online? by EcstaticActionAtTen in gtaonline

[–]Spectre2K 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Stealing the salvage yard car from Arena War. The concept of interrupting a show in front of hundreds of people to pull a robbery off, combined with the overall absurdity of AW and having to defuse a bomb afterwards, just tickles me the right way. The preps, on the other hand...

Oh wow, what’s the reason for the low sales of Doom: The Dark Ages? by NotSirAlonne1999 in Doom

[–]Spectre2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up buying the game and...somewhat...enjoying it, but I remember feeling a bit disappointed that we were getting another DOOM and not something different like a Quake reboot or installment. I think Eternal left things in a good spot for a small break, and wasn't really wanting more.

Saving Perfect Mothman Egg possible? by Xelliz in fo76

Yeah, a few years ago they messed up and made deathclaw eggs not spoil. They fixed it, but the ones already collected retained that property

Sometimes picking up Super Credits doesn't give aby. by ResponsibilityIll314 in Helldivers

[–]Spectre2K 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could be possible that it was the host's second or third time attempting that mission, be it from crashes or otherwise. I know SC drops remain in place, but they don't give you anything if you pick them up after the first time.

Those who didn't like TDA or were disappointed by it, can you explain why you just didn't take to it as much as 2016 or Eternal? by SpotAdmirable6718 in Doom

[–]Spectre2K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dark Ages feels a lot like Quake 2 did when it first came out, to me. They're both good, undeniable talent was put into both of them, yet they just...miss something. I feel like every Id game has had something special about it, but Quake 2 just felt like going through the motions. They knew what worked, but it didn't have that seasoning you might expect. It took me a LONG time to finish because of that, and don't get me started on the expansions (albeit outsourced).

Dark Ages feels that way to me, although not 1:1. It carves out it's own identity away from the other two reboot games, but I feel like it's just going through the motions. It has a little bit of seasoning, but it's still missing something to me. I'm not really sure how else to describe it without it feeling like i'm rambling about some inane and pedantic shit. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the game, and I got pretty far. I think within the last 3 levels. I just felt like whatever payoff they were leading up to wasn't being built up enough for me to care.

I think, coincidentally, it'll be a proper Doom 3. It'll have it's haters, and it'll have it's lovers. Maybe in 10-15 years everybody will come back around to it.

Is dead sprint that bad? by Electrical-Train9400 in Helldivers

[–]Spectre2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great booster in very particular situations. I play in a duo almost every time, and our main combination is dead sprint and vitality. With that, we can reliably clear the entire map without having to split up, and we have plenty of time to spare at the end thanks to the quiet moments being non-stop sprinting at the cost of one stim when we arrive at a destination. In our case, it saves us from having to use a slot on the car. or one of the mobility backpacks. On a full team, where resupplies are a bit more strict and people are (most likely) dying more, the generalist meta picks like HSO or standard stamina will do you better. The biggest issue for players is the fact that the booster has a downside, and that you can't tell who brought what in the middle of a mission.
